wordsfromlee
Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness on Netflix is absolutely insane. It's not your classic Netflix true crime series at all. There are various points where you think that this has to be a wind up but then you remember that these people are from Myrtle Beach and Florida and it's all makes sense. I'm just starting episode 3 now. It's fucking batshit. The film maker absolutely struck gold with this madness.
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted March 23, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted March 23, 2020 I’ve just binged all of Tiger King tonight. What a crazy world they all live in. So many questions I still had at the end. But absolutely fascinating stuff
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted March 23, 2020 Awards Moderator Share Posted March 23, 2020 I saw Tiger King was #1 in the UK on Netflix and couldn't figure it out from the precis at all. I'll give it a whirl

And I should have known it would be shite because Harlan Coben, and also because all the Love Island and Mrs.Browns Boys lads and ladies in work are saying how amazing it is, but my missus loves that sort of carry on out of the telly, so I had to suffer through it. The twists and reveals are absolutely ludicrous and nonsensical, and not even the wonderful Paul Kaye and the outrageously attractive Hannah John-Kamen can lift it beyond me periodically thinking "If I was a younger man, and not ruined/desensitised by readily available porn, that shot of Hannah John-Kamens' bum in grey tracksuit bottoms while running, would have me in a shite heap". Â It was filmed near me, which is nice.
The Gaffer
Tiger King is a trip, man. Every ten minutes I couldn't believe what I was seeing or hearing. It's utterly insane. Only in America.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted March 25, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted March 25, 2020 My god Tiger King is brilliant tv. I'm only two episodes in and my wife has shouted (literally redknapp) at me on three occasions tonight "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU WATCHING"

I'm told it only gets madder and better. Can't wait to finish binging it over the next couple of nights.

It's incredible, and it just keeps on coming. But my absolute favourite things about it are the brief glimpse of a Jim Duggan 8x10 in Joe Exotic's office, and the fact that absolutely everybody in it looks exactly how you'd expect. Factotum
The ending of episode 2 made me genuinely sit upright. The next episode is a true life crime series in itself! It's up there with ABDUCTED IN PLAIN SIGHT for batshittery
Paid Members PunkStep Posted March 26, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted March 26, 2020 Who's your favourite big cat owner? Joe Exotic, Carol, the Tony Montana guy or Doc? For me it's Doc. A spiritual, dirty shagger version of Penn Jillette. I corpse every time he strolls into shot riding an elephant like some sort of god.

lars85
If you told me Joe Exotic was a character written by Danny McBride, I wouldn't question it.
