New to this thread in light of the fact that the ongoing health crisis means i'm A) stuck indoors and B) have fuck all by way of freelance work going on to keep me occupied in the evenings, meaning for the first time in years, I have a bit of free time to watch some films/telly.

Taken the plunge, as we've watched all the kids DVD's to death and so i'm hoping there might be some stuff on there to keep them entertained during the lockdown period, but given my somewhat limited and rather well known tastes, not to mention my self confessed bone-idleness, any recommendations for good or interesting things to watch would be greatly appreciated!!

Finished Tiger King, and even after all of that, I want Doc Antle to have his own series, although I expect he’s too savy to allow the cameras to have full access. I couldn’t shake the fact that he reminded me of Curt Hennig though, kept expecting him to say “the way I look after my animals, is absolutely...PERFECT!”

Jeff Lowe and his Affliction/Oakley wearing mid-life crisis was another persist highlight

I couldn't look at Jeff Lowe without hearing this in my head.

Just binged the new season of Sunderland Till I Die. Charlie Methven is a brilliant little shite. Him selling some of the board on Tiesto for the stadium music was as David Brent as it gets.

Probably one for the football fans, but Amazon Prime has all of the official World Cup movies. There's a chance this has been mentioned and I'm late to the show, but during a lockdown with no sports being able to binge all of these is awesome.

Charlie Methven in Sunderland Till I Die 2 is brilliant. My personal favourite being when he utterly loses it at the Checkertrade Final and his wife's reaction

Probably mentioned somewhere but always good to make aware.

I've fucked it by watching them all already within the first week of this.

I thought the second series was shit, and after reading so much about this "Brent" like character, he was incredibly disappointing in this. As in, he wasn't shit enough, which obviously isn't his fault.

Not a patch on series 1, the big drama being that they have to up their offer for Will Grigg a bit.

I won't watch a third series. Anything will pale in comparison to the upcoming Spurs/Amazon shitshow.

Excellent, cheers. I was looking for a couple of these the other day and couldn't find them on YouTube (other than the 2018 one on FIFA's official channel, and it wasn't a great film considering it was a very good World Cup).

Some people thought Coronavirus may have been the end of the world, but here is the nail in the coffin.

I'm going to hate watch the whole thing and get too emotionally invested in it and want to kill myself.

They should pop Anders Breivik onto that island in week 2.

...

Just finished Tiger King, and having avoided spoilers so far thought I'd pop on to the internet to see what had happened to the various characters since.  Turns out loads of people in the US see Joe Exotic as a mistreated folk hero, and "that fuckin' bitch" Carole Baskin as the baddie.  Which goes to show what a fantastic parable of the American Dream the series is, and how far down that rabbit hole the US is.

I'd rather watch that than half the content of Netflix Originals to be honest.

Are you sure about that? From what I've seen, everyone sees that pretty much every person on there is an an absolute piece of shit. The whole 'Carole Baskin is a bitch' thing is just the latest meme material. I don't think anyone's coming away from that seeing her, of all people, as the baddie.

Joe's a piece of shit, but again, it makes for funny memes. I'll laugh at someone funny involving him, but I still know he's terrible. Happy to be proved wrong and pointed to articles showing him as some sort of tiger nonce hero.

People are lobbying for Trump to pardon Joe. So much so that a reporter even asked Trump during a press conference the other day if he would or not.

He’s king of the rednecks.
