Fuck me, that was good. Really,

really good. That final episode has set up the next series wonderfully, and it could fill the gap left behind by The Wire. A real open-mouth moment when they showed the junkies in the police station- a basic yet brilliant little twist.

Right @PunkStepyou pussio, I’ve finally finished this. As I rewatched series 1 and 2 in the days leading up to watching series 3, I found myself struggling to get into it at first but loved it by the end.

One of the great things is that unlike Series 1 and 2, where you’re completely sided with the Summerhouse lot, by introducing characters you sympathise with a lot like Aaron and Stefan (and Ats), you’re left feeling conflicted and invested in more than just one side. Great touch.

Have to disagree on Jaq, I thought she was terrible. Completely cliched and one dimensional and I didn’t believe her as a character one bit, which was a shame.

Also,

really sad to see what happened to Jason. That was brutal. Reminded me of when little Michael got dashed over the balcony. And if you couldn’t spot those two “crackheads” were five-o, I don’t know what to tell you. Also, cracking soundtrack, not just in terms of actual songs, but the use of dramatic music was absolutely spot on. Gonna take me a few days to stop saying “Suh-huck your mudda you fassyhole” at everyone. Cuz.

I've still got 2 eps left and whilst it's a vast improvement in the second series, they've basically told the same story three times now. One thing I will say is that Kano is superb in it and his character is so much more layered than the horrible little shit he started out as. I'd have quite happily taken a Shane Meadows misery porno of Sulleys redemption following his release from prison. Book Kano.

Watched Living With Yourself which is a haven of Paul Rudd. I genuinely think Rudd is almost as likeable as early ace comedies Tom Hanks, just not as talented. In this he's equal part wanker to sound. Short episodes and it doesn't have that annoying indie feel, no ukulele or fast talking teens etc. Worth a watch.

Tell Me Who I Am is astonishing. I won't disclose the plot but it's a wonderfully told heartbreaking documentary.

I watched the whole of Living With Yourself yesterday and loved it. I fucking adore Paul Rudd so much, and Aisling Bea is pretty high on my unconventional crushes list so this was 11/10.

But, sad to say the latest series of The Good Place isn’t good.

That first season of The Good Place was something else. It really feels they made that mistake of backing themselves into a corner and now trying to write a conclusion. It went from essential viewing to, oh, I suppose we should watch as nothing else is on by the end of season 2. It's a shame, because there are some good moments, but just so few and far between. Will definetly check out Living With Yourself though as another Rudd fan (Paul, not Amber)

Who Killed Little Gregory? is worth a watch. I’m a bit fed up of true crime as a genre, but this really shines a spotlight on the destructive, uncaring and cruel potential of the media when dealing with something like this.

I also watched ‘I don’t feel alone in this world anymore’ - one of the stronger Netflix movies by my estimation, with a stellar performance from Elijah Wood.
