Loki Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 At this point she must know you're all from the same community. I reckon we're a quick Google search away from you all being busted.* *something that has been true of UKFF for many years tbf. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 So after emailing back to me after I spent a good while putting over their Tea Cakes and Wafer Biscuits, I figured that was the end of it as Ann just gave me a list of places I could get them rather than my imaginary local mini-mart. 5 days later, there’s a knock at the door. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 8, 2023 Paid Members Posted March 8, 2023 (edited) Ann told me you can get Wafer Creams in Home Bargains. Some mixed messages here from Ann. Edited March 8, 2023 by Devon Malcolm Quote

You want either Home Bargains or Farm Foods for Wafer Creams, she told me. Did anyone else's email have noticeably peculiar spacing? She does that thing where she writes proper nouns in block capitals, too. Still, lovely lady. Edited March 8, 2023 by CAREBEAR LUVVA Quote

"Many thanks for your interest in our delicious Dark Chocolate products , you can purchase from SAINSBURYS / ASDA SUPERSTORE DARK CHOCOLATE CARAMEL WAFERS TEA CAKES FROM FARMFOODS I have put a couple of packets in the post." I love her. Quote
CAREBEAR LUVVA Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Yeah, exactly like that. Reminds me a bit of those videos where they give a spider a load of bad drugs then watch it try to weave a web. Like, it's almost there, but not quite. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 8, 2023 Paid Members Posted March 8, 2023 Have to say Wafer Creams are splendid, too. Like a much, much nicer Blue Riband. Quote
Cousin Jim Bob Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 What is the best Tunnocks chocolate bar ? I might suddenly have to complain to them about how they don't stock it in my area. Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted March 8, 2023 Paid Members Posted March 8, 2023 I'm really intrigued by the wafer creams - I'd never heard of them before this thread, and I'd really like to try them. Blue Riband aren't bad (they used to be bloody awful until the new recipe), but they're still nowhere near these: Nearest I've ever found have been Tortina, which are super duper lush, but not cheap, and you don't get much for it. Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 9, 2023 Paid Members Posted March 9, 2023 I wish I could try one of those dark chocolate wafer bars, but I don't think my blood glucose would be able to take the hit. Quote
deathrey Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 That's a blast from the past @Carbomb. I used to love a Riva! They were a regular in my lunchbox at school Quote
Paid Members gmoney Posted March 9, 2023 Paid Members Posted March 9, 2023 (edited) Well I thought Ann had ignored me as I didn't get an email from her, but just got this picture from the missus asking me why I've been sent something from Tunnocks. At work at the moment, so don't know what delights are inside. Whatever it is, I'm a happy man. Edited March 9, 2023 by gmoney Quote
