Not "Top Twitter" but there seems to be a hacking spree right now with many sizeable (some fucking huge) accounts currently being taken over in real time, all seemingly by the same group promoting some coin scam. Good job, Elon.

I've had dozens of new (clearly fake/bot) accounts starting to follow me over the past couple of weeks.  I'm assuming it's some sort of bot farm ramping up for the US election as I never post anything and only really follow wrestling or music related accounts, so they must just be adding people indiscriminately.  Definitely feels like the site is teetering on the edge.  If Trump loses I wonder if Musk just loses interest in it completely.

It's been like it ever since I signed back up. I've got my account protected now so they just appear as follow requests but ever since I started again on there, I'd have 20 porn bot followers to every 1 real one.

I started a new Twitter account for the podcast, and it's just swamped by bot followers, way more than my main account ever was. Though I do get random likes from bots on at least 50% of my Tweets on the main profile.

Surely this isn’t right, if someone is heading upstairs and they turn to have a conversation with someone at the bottom of the stairs then they are facing the wrong way as they were originally heading up the stairs. I know I’m wrong here somehow but I have spent far too long pondering this.
