I originally joined (as @RedRooster, before I changed - and forgot - my password) in January 2019, and I genuinely can't remember how or why I came across the forum, which is slightly alarming as it wasn't that long ago. None of my 'real life' friends watched wrestling, so I was probably looking for a place to talk about it. It might have been tied into the formal announcement of AEW actually, because I know for sure I wasn't really watching WWE at that point. The prospect of something new and non-McMahon was exciting. 

My main memories of the forum are the people - I remember, when I was having a tough time with my mental health, @Frankie Crisp reaching out and sending a lovely DM which was incredibly helpful and meaningful - again, none of my 'real life' friends knew I was feeling low, I kept it bottled up (never a good idea, and I wouldn't do that now) yet people on here took the time to reach out privately. 

Part of the reason I was feeling low - which I don't know if I said at the time - was that my wife and I were told we were unlikely ever to have kids. Honestly, there was nothing more I wanted than to be a dad and that knocked the wind out of me. Fast forward to 2026 and as some of you will be aware, 'unlikely' did not mean 'impossible' as I'm a father to an amazing little girl, who turned 3 this year. 

As with a lot of you, my life has changed significantly since I joined, even though I've been here for less than ten years - I've become a homeowner, and I've moved twice since my early days here. I have a child. I've gone from owning a dog to having two cats (not as insignificant a change as it probably sounds!!) My grandfather, who I was very close to, sadly passed away. I've switched jobs three times, working my way up the ladder. My gaming backlog has grown, rather than shrunk...

But the forum, and the wonderful people on it, have remained constant - as has, thankfully, my love of pro-wrestling.

I've been a member since 2008 but definitely lurked before that, while I posted mainly on TWCF (I'm glad all my content from there is lost forever, as it was probably gibberish). I am shocked that my profile says I've posted over 900 times, that makes no sense to me. It feels like about 50 times.

I don't ever really have much to add to the discussions here, but I think the reason I come back to read basically every week is because it continues to offer thoughtful, intelligent, funny, and balanced levels of chat. I'm sure it's not just me, but many places online can be infuriating to deal with - dreadful opinions, pointless anger, false information, it's exhausting. I guess the UKFF feels simply warm and fuzzy compared to all that?

In all this time I've never interacted with 99% of those who post on here - I don't really have any favourites and I barely know anything about your real lives, or I've long forgotten - so the time and effort most of you make to post your thoughts must be worth something if I keep coming back to read them. 

The UKFF'ers... a great bunch of lads.

WOW what an achievement! 25 Years - so glad the UKFF is still going strong.

I don't often post much but I always read especially after the latest big show and love reading all the different points of view. Some comments really do give me a good laugh (in a good way of course!) I really should try to post more often but being a mum is busy enough 😅!! 

I lost my password for my original forum name hence the V2 added now but I think I have been posting/mainly lurking here since 2001/02 and I likely found it during a random internet search.

I think it speaks volumes that while social media killed off many forums, the UKFF has survived based on largely the same cast of posters during all that time. That has to say something doesn’t it?

I was a bit later registering, in late 2009. And I’ve only actually met one other forum member, handsome Butch of course, in all that time.

But given that we all overshare from time to time given its a bit of a ‘safe space’, and thanks to hilarious personal anecdotes etc, you feel that you know all the regular posters regardless.

I spend way more time reading UKFF (albeit more infrequently than I used to) than I do watching actual current wrestling, which must count for something?

If it wasn’t for this place and Ian’s Twitter feed, I’m not sure I’d have a clue what was going on any more.

You’ve all made me laugh out loud at times. Keep up the good work.

I was a lurker for years - I think there was a period where new members had to be approved or something, and that just wasn't happening. This would have been around 2012/2013, I think. So a relative newbie compared to most of you.

I came here because I was starting to go to UK indie shows, and found the events sub-forum helpful. But, bored at work, I found myself spending more time here just reading through threads, working my way through the Gold topics and so on. When I could eventually post on here, I felt like I already knew the place inside and out.

I've met a few of you over the years, and it's never been less than a pleasure. 

When I started on here, I was living in Jersey, I was pretty new to refereeing or working in wrestling at all. I had only been to a couple of live wrestling shows in my life. I was working in a call centre, in a job I hated, and living back with my parents. Since then, I've had half a dozen other jobs, moved a few times and ended up in London, in a healthy relationship, with an often frustrating but generally good job, I've written a book, done a bunch of other jobs in wrestling that have given me all kinds of mad experiences, and I've been to so many indie wrestling shows that I started to find it a bit of chore. It's up to you how much the UKFF can collectively take credit for my general improvement in circumstances, but they can definitely take credit for how many times I've said KWESH in that time.

That was July 2002 and I eventually signed up in 2003. I was an FWA forum wanker for a while before moving on to just a wanker in all formats. 

There used to be quite a large contingent of Grimsby/Cleethorpes members and I must have met all of those over the years as well as various others Leicester Lantern, Freaky Jason and Hat Guy on loads of occasions. It seems odd to me that I remember Martin Kirby just from been Ben's mate at shows and now he is a veteran of the UK scene. 

There have been long stretches of not posting but luckily I was less password conscious in 2003 so that's never been a problem. Generally though the core group of people here are lovely and this place wouldn't have survived without them. It's not right to single people out but @tiger_rick @Onyx2 @johnnyboy and @Devon Malcolm are the creme de la creme. The goodest of eggs in the heritage free range egg box that is the UKFF.

Been on here since I'm guessing 2002. Discovered through the FWA forum. My first FWA show was October 2021, so it may have been around that time. Originally had a username "Heyyyyy" which came from, I think, the Fonz, which I think Foley mentioned in one of his first couple books. I have fond memories of getting the piss taken out of me because I made a post on my school computer about parent's evening, on parent's evening. 

Anyways, I have always lurked on here more than posting, but there is a real comfort to it still being here. Decided to make a new account, as my usage of this board kind of reflects my interest in wrestling. In the 90s/early 2000s, I was young and obsessed with it. Then for the vast majority of my life, I kept an eye on it, dipping in and out, checking out things that people were talking about. And then AEW came about, and it piqued my interest, and now I am more invested in wrestling than I have been in years, and I actually have thoughts to contribute.

But the UKFF has always been a constant throughout my life, and genuinely, one of the most sane spaces for wrestling discussion on the internet.

2007 over here, having migrated from The Wrestling Channel forum. I think the UKFF 50 was the first thing that caught my interest, and I remember it was already such a strong community (although scarier then than it is now). Since then, through twatlists and battle raps, Shitarse 50s and organising the rounds for the paper boys, which involved organising the rounds for the paper boys, kwesh and cheese on, prune juice and chippy teas, awards and secret Santas and all the rest, this place has kept me sane and kept me interested in wrestling (not sure if the two are connected) for nearly 20 years now.

I’ve only met @Kaz Hayashi in real life, but have had great chats with @Frankie Crisp and @Onyx2 as well.

Let’s get it to 50 for some actual UKFF Gold! (Also, bring back UKFF Gold)

We were only metres apart at Wembley but couldn't make it happen! I blame Tony Khan.
