Turki is the chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority and responsible for a massive amount of sportswashing. All the boxing in Saudi is because of him. He ponies up the dough and all of a sudden Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren can work together despite hating each other for years. He's probably behind the WWE Saudi deal as well. That petrodollar is washing a whole lot of sports. Quote
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted January 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2025 There was a rumour months ago that Vince could start a rival promotion and that people like Brock and Cena would be interested in because of their fondness to Vince, but wrote it off because I thought who would want to back him with it. Of course it would be this lot Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted January 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2025 (edited) The Saudis were mentioned loads when those rumours were circulating, the idea that it would be backed by them was the only thing giving those rumours any credibility. Paid Members Carbomb Posted January 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2025 With the money he's got from selling to WME/TKO, I don't think it's beyond McMahon's capability to start up a new promotion with production capabilities to rival AEW. Now, whether it would survive in this day and age with him at the helm is another matter. Quote
Paid Members air_raid Posted January 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2025 Just had a live Fox stream on YouTube to get updates about the fires and saw the crusty old fuck has spent $1.7m to make it all go away rather than face his day in court. Cunt. Old news for the rest of you it seems, but otherwise worth tuning in to hear (California) governor Newsome given a platform to slag off the incompetence of WWE Hall of Famer and former Mania headliner president-elect Trump on Fox. Chortle. Quote

Paid Members LaGoosh Posted February 1, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 1, 2025 (edited) In the latest addition to the lawsuit it's said that McMahon told the victim to make a sex video for Michael Hayes. Hayes has been on "extended leave" with no return date along with Bruce Pritchard since November. Interesting. Also noted on the latest is that John Laurinitus had direct private access to the victims office from his own personal office - one of the people who approved this was Nick Khan. As an aside he also shared a wall with Triple H. Now I personally don't think that means they were necessarily aware of the criminal/abusive activity taking place but it's still grim reading. TheScarlettChad Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 Maybe trips knew he was dating Janel but didn't know about the illegal stuff. We just don't know. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted February 1, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 1, 2025 At least everything makes more sense, now. Hard to concentrate and read important documents with all the noise coming from the actual crime in the office next door. Brock Lesnar officially named now, too. You’d think this will finally stop the nutters calling for his return (it won’t). Quote

I don't think it's necessarily trolling, and he's probably right. We don't know. There's no point pretending we do, because Triple H had an adjoining office to John Laurinaitis, who in turn had an adjoining office to the victim and there's a chance that when Triple H wasn't on the road he could have been in the office at the same time a crime happened in the office in one of the adjoining rooms. That's mental. What we do know is the place seems like it was an absolute cess pit, and it would probably be better if everyone in the leadership group at that time weren't involved now. Not because they're all guilty necessarily, but because a properly fresh start is probably the right thing to do. But, final point, there's nothing nefarious about adjoining rooms necessarily. When I worked in the States, they were quite common amongst executives. Quote
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted February 1, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 1, 2025 “@BJBethelTweets will be on the Mike and JD show with @MikeGilbert311 and @JD_Oliva this coming Sunday to talk about the Janel Grant news. I highly recommend tapping in and listening to someone who has been covering this since day one, in audio form talk about this.” This will be on YouTube on the Mike and JD Show YouTube channel https://youtube.com/@mikeandjdshow?si=W3EDx3Y0mIFVpOqp As he’s been reporting this so extensively I think it will be an interesting watch.
