Vince McMahon may actually be done this time [Trigger warning: Sexual Assault]

Like the recent slew of Legends deals and Dawn Marie/Francine being brought back into the fold, these sudden temporary leaves of absence get my conspiracy senses going. The article apparently says they are unrelated to the Vince situation (I’m not a subscriber but read a summary elsewhere) with Prichard being a family emergency and Hayes being  personal issues… but it all just seems a bit coincidental to me.

I don't want to say this is the reason because I don't know, but Prichard recently was in a bit of altered state on his podcasts and might possibly be having an issue with alcohol or something else. Either way, regardless of the man's choice in who he defends I hope he gets it sorted. 

Not a clue with Michael Hayes, he must have one of the finest records of things you would have been fired for that you didn't of any employee the WWE have had.

I'm in two minds about these bridges being rebuilt as relates to former female talent. Can totally understand the cynicism towards it but I think the air is positivity around WWE says a lot about where such olive branches could be coming from.

Also, it's a bit of 'damned if you do' situation they find themselves in. I think they do need to directly address their treatment of women in the past though, this sort of goodwill only goes so far. There's more repairing to be done, and a lot of it.

Was that one of the recent Q&A episodes?  It auto-played for me a week or so ago and I thought he was just doing a bit, but then Conrad seemed to completely shut him down (on more than one occasion) and wasn't entertaining any of it.  Really jumped out as being out of character.  Though if it was anything along those lines I'd like to think they'd have never released the episode.

It was pulled extremely quickly apparently, but it was fairly obvious he wasn't of the soundest mind. Hopefully he can get himself sorted if that's the issue.

So Bruce is now taking a leave of absence from his podcast as well, with JBL filling in.  Conrad announced it at the start of the latest episode with a vague reference to "health events" within the Prichard household.

The Securities and Exchange Commission said Friday that World Wrestling Entertainment co-founder Vince McMahon will pay more than $1.7 million in relation to charges that he failed to disclose payment agreements related to sexual assault charges.

The SEC said McMahon circumvented WWE internal accounting controls and caused material misstatements in the company's 2018 and 2021 financial statements.

The SEC added that McMahon agreed to the settlement without admitting or denying its findings. He will pay a $400,000 civil penalty, and reimburse WWE approximately $1,331,000.

Believe that already could. There was an update in mid-December to say that the hold on Janel Grant's civil case had expired, as they'd effectively parked it for 6 months so it could be investigated criminally.

Legit thought seeing this topic updated that the Grant stuff had been dropped, but I'm glad to see that's still happening.
