Paid Members Statto Posted January 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 2, 2025 Glad they've made Gauntlet a bit more challenging. Was a freebie 10 points last series. Glad to have Diamond back on my TV too. Judging by the screens at the edge of the play area, the Atlaspheres part of a new game called Crash Course. Quote
TibBo Posted January 18, 2025 Posted January 18, 2025 Who thought atlaspheres on a polished floor was a good idea? Quote
wordsfromlee Posted January 18, 2025 Posted January 18, 2025 I fucking hated that crossfit cunt. Quote
Paid Members Statto Posted January 18, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 18, 2025 For a minute I thought they'd ditched the classic theme and was about to kick off big time. I'll be honest, I was never a fan of Atlaspheres in the original show, and nothing tonight changed my mind. Quote
LEGIT Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 (edited) Thought Atlasphere was great, it's looks exhausting to try to change direction after being bashed the other way. Great to have Gladiators back. Not often I feel there's much on that everyone in my house likes but now we've got: Gladiators Traitors Michael McIntyres Big Show Apprentice (back at the end of the month) Best time of the year for telly for me. WyattSheepMask Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 You’re telling me they couldn’t have licensed some Def Leppard for that opening package on Sheffield? It practically writes itself. Phantom absolutely twatted that lad with his first shot in Duel. Shame he wasn’t against the CrossFit Wanker, he can fuck off to Ninja Warrior with the rest of them Great to see Atlaspheres back. I’m sure they never used to wear that much padding back in the day. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Don't see many people completely miss that cargo net jump at the end so that was a bit scary. Good for her for carrying on. Good to have it back. I'm sure I've had happy dreams of Sabre playing cat and mouse with me and cuddling me to death. Quote
Paid Members ReturnOfTheMack Posted January 25, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 25, 2025 I paused the show to talk to my wife. Turned round, saw this, and spat my drink. Otherwise, great episode. The new gladiator looked hard as nails. Quote
RIDDUM_N_STYLE Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 Felt so sorry for the red contender on the women’s side, that fall from The Edge looked nasty, the men’s eliminator was a thriller though, not sure why the Scottish guy seemed to stop after the first go on the travelator Speaking of bizarre choices, Legend completely ignoring his man on the wall and almost reaching the top himself, first botch in the series? Paid Members Statto Posted January 26, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 26, 2025 Another incident of an increasing level of worked heelishness in this series, I'd say. Obviously Legend has always been the heel, but there's a been a few more incidents where the legitimacy of the sporting competition might be being somewhat affected to get certain people heel reactions. Still, Legend on the wall was the first one quite as blatant since Viper knocked his opponent off before the first whistle on Duel in on one of the first eps last year, then immediately took a dive off a love tap upon the restart to give him his comeuppance. He's shit, but he's not that shit. (Although shit enough they're restricting him to that silly swingy bridge game and comedy skits now). Quote
Paid Members mim731 Posted January 26, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 26, 2025 Fun fact, Cyclone is the sister of Ireland and Watford/Udinese footballer Festy Ebosele. Quote
Just Some Guy Posted January 26, 2025 Posted January 26, 2025 Legend has turned face. The fans love his shtick and are laughing along. Viper is still shit though. Quote

I think you're forgetting that time at the start of gauntlet that Sabre just dropped her pad and dump tackled a contender as soon as it started. I really liked that Legend thing on the wall, cocky as hell and cutoff the contender from getting to the top, but was appalled that the contender apparently got 5 points out of it! Quote
Mr_Danger Posted January 26, 2025 Posted January 26, 2025 Legend has always been a worker even from when he was doing his fake gagging at having to eat a regular man sized cooked breakfast with Eddie Hall like it was some Man vs Food sized meal. Either that or he’s just a massive fanny who can’t handle his food. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted January 26, 2025 Posted January 26, 2025 The refs getting pyro, pure Shawn Michaels at Summerslam 97. Clatterburg is a better than any ref in AEW Quote
