When they announce the Gladiators taking part in the Gauntlet and end with “…and Diamond”, my wife absolutely loves it when I say “the TV presenter?!” every single time. Especially when I repeat it to make sure she heard.

I was going to find the thread Saturday night to say what a knob I thought he was but didn't get round to it. Glad I wasn't alone. 

He was always going to have an uphill battle to win my favour being an ex-professional assault course completer up against a wrestler (see thoughts on last year's final) but he seemed a bit of a dick to start with and confirmed it by gloating over an injury - particularly as it looked like it might be serious. We didn't see a lot but it looked to me like there was a lot of bruising forming really quickly which put me in mind of Cody's torn pec. 

I actually punched the air and shouted "yes!" when he fell on the travelator, but sadly Nush did too immediately after.

Looked like a torn/detached bicep to me? Had that weird lump like the tendon wasn’t attached anymore

My initial thought was a torn bicep, which if it is then that’ll be him done for the series which is a shame as I think he’s one of the better ones

Was sad to see Giant injured on Saturday too. He is great, particularly at Duel! 

Looking forward to the quarter finals starting and also hoping the guy from Saturday doesn't make it any further, what a twat!

Big fan of Apollo breaking out crappy jokes just to pop the boys on this week’s episode. Legend nearly cracked.

Atlaspheres are deceptively boring as it turns out. I like Unleash, but I’m not keen on the way that the Gladiators already seem to be running when they pop up. 

Wonder if Hammer is a Giant substitute since the big man seemed to go down in Ep5?

Apollo’s really grown on me this season.

With Nitro and now probably Giant both out of action, it makes sense that they might have a backup or two. Hammer has the look but I haven’t quite warmed to him yet. Disappointed he didn’t swap out the pugil stick for his hammer on Duel.

Diamond carrying off Clattenberg gave me complicated? feelings.

Another very decent episode. Barring some kind of massive display from another Contender I reckon Joe’s got this in the bag. The need to do something about the fastest runner up rule ahead of the semi finals though, because Lewis has lost twice now and if he gets a third crack at it then that’s bullshit
