DavidB6937 Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Anyone get tickets for the tour? Life's been shit so I've overcompensated by getting VIP for one of the Wembley shows with my girls. They're super excited so think it'll be worth it overall. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 My car needed some work so we had to let it go unfortunately. What perks did you get with VIP? Quote
DavidB6937 Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Off the top of my head - better seat, some merchandise, and a pre show thing where you can access the show floor and see some of the event set up and meet the Gladiators. Was mostly wanting it for the meet and greet stuff for my girls but obviously if I get to meet Sabre I won't complain. Quote
TibBo Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 We’ve got some tickets for the Manchester show and the pre-show thing. Hoping to steal an atlasphere. Quote
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted May 6, 2025 Awards Moderator Posted May 6, 2025 They’ve added Glasgow to the tour. 20-21 December. Quote
Paid Members Statto Posted May 15, 2025 Paid Members Posted May 15, 2025 Presumably inspired by the BBC's success with this, Amazon are rebooting American Gladiators, with The Miz hosting. Quote
wordsfromlee Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 This is a great watch, purely for the ability to reminisce over all the old events that I'd forgot about. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Met Viper and Diamond at Butlins today. So happy for my girls as Diamond is one of their favourite Gladiators. And I've enjoyed Viper (as well as Legend) as the bad guy so it was a good combo for me. And not to ruin anything but.. Spoiler He smiled at me and said thanks for coming! Who knew he was capable of such behaviour. It was lovely to see my girls smile so much after the year we've had. And to think Gladiators is back and so popular when I loved it so much as a kid. They really have got it right again this time round. We're booked on the tour and the girls are super excited for that now. Guessing we'll get to meet some others there. Definitely not* hoping for Sabre or anything.. *absolutely 10000000% hoping Quote

Definitely not* hoping for Sabre or anything.. *absolutely 10000000% hoping Viper is doing our local panto this year, I'm quite tempted as my kids love Gladiators (not quite on the level of Cody Rhodes, but that's a high bar for my girls). This might be enough to nudge me towards booking it. This has also weirdly unlocked a memory of meeting Wolf from Gladiators in the 90s before he did an appearance in Basingstoke. My cousin's husband was manager of the shopping centre he was doing a signing for and got us in early before the crowds. He was so softly spoken, it made it such a weird interaction. Weird times. Members SuperBacon Posted October 28, 2025 Members Posted October 28, 2025 Any excuse to share one of my favourite memories ever On 1/3/2023 at 6:23 PM, SuperBacon said: This reminds that I was at Alton Towers when something or other opened (early 90s) and Warrior and Rhino were there to open it, and they were on a ride (forget the name of it, but it was sort of like pirates galleon or magic carpet which goes back and forth etc) and we all had our hands up and were screaming at Rhino to put his hands up, and he wouldn't, and we wouldn't stop so he shouted "I don't fucking want to alright!!!" which my Dad thought was hilarious. Then we all sort of ran after him doing that "uuuuurrrrrrrgh" thing kids did when you know someone is annoyed, until someone told us to stop. Quote
TibBo Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 We were at Butlins Bognor Regis this weekend and we got Hammer and Fire who were both lovely to be fair. Really wanted the compere to ask me who my favourite Gladiator is, so I could say Jet. I had an email yesterday saying there is a Gladiators experience thing starting next May where you can try the events. I'm guessing it is going to be like a touring version of the Ninja Warrior places you can go to now. Quote

Tamura Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 10 minutes ago, Chili said: Where's that from squire? It's from the book Cocky: The Rise and Fall of Curtis Warren, Britain's Biggest Drugs Baron. To cut a long story short, Curtis Warren's mentor's son (who was also Warren's girlfriends brother) was arrested after trying to shoot a doorman outside a club in Liverpool. What then transpired was a plot to bribe senior police officer Elmore Davies to torpedo the case (that's conpsiracy to pervert the course of justice in legal terms), and although how and why Warrior was involved isn't detailed particularly well in the book he was basically a close friend of Davies and was acting as a middle man to arrange a meeting between Warren and Davies. davertfnewman Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 (edited) Warrior always came across as a friendly, level-headed guy on TV shows, but I guess when you're that big and that popular that you don't need to look for trouble, trouble will come looking for you. I'm just reminded of the fact that Lightning and her husband have a business in my local high street. Used to be a supplements shop, but looks like it's a bit dilapidated. Apparently they have a new business, but it's not in evidence at those premises. Edited October 29, 2025 by davertfnewman Quote
