TibBo Posted March 22 Posted March 22 They will do a pre-show meet & greet type event where you can meet the gladiators, and have photos with the pugil sticks etc before the show at an additional cost too. Not sure if you will be going with kids/family etc, but I imagine it’d be awful sat in the stands watching everyone else meeting them, so maybe factor that into the price too? I think the pre-show bit was an extra £30 per-person last year Quote

I think the pre-show bit was an extra £30 per-person last year If its £30 per head I could probably go with that. My son would love it, although in all fairness I'd love to meet Legend. I've actually got a picture of me with the pugel sticks from a show at Wembley like 30 years ago. Quote
TibBo Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) That is ace! I’ve always lived about 40mins from brum, and never met anyone that actually went to see it at the NEC! It was defo £30 last year as I’ve just checked my emails. Legends wasn’t there for our event but I guess he was injured or maybe he was doing the Butlins meets that day? I think we met 7 gladiators at the pre-show, and you could also meet some of the contenders from the series that were taking part in the show and the referees etc too Edited March 22 by TibBo Pressed wrong button Quote

What kind of events do they do? I assumed simple(r) ones to set up like The Wall, Duel, Gauntlet and power ball. Quote
AshC Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I always think it'd be good if there was an indy Gladiators circuit. Get the Powerball set up in the working men's club. Quote
TibBo Posted March 22 Posted March 22 lol you nailed that perfect matey! They did duel, gauntlet, powerball, the wall, and the eliminator at the end for our show. Quote

I have no issue with that, I can imagine some of the events take ages to set up (apparently an episode can take 6 hours to film) and atlaspheres aren't something you want to be lumping from arena to arena. westlondonmist Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Got tickets to Wembley, didn't see tickets for sale to the meet and greet unless you bought a VIP ticket, one of those was similar to the cost of all 3 tickets I got so couldn't justify it. Think I'd rather spend the £40 it costs for a Giant cameo video for my son. It is the cheap seats but I think it will be cool anyway. Quote

Would look shit if nobody finished it. I'm pretty sure they did that on the original series if people had too much difficulty with it and as a general safety thing. Quote
