As soon as it starts tilting its game over for them. I very much doubt anyone could hold on long enough for it to start tilting the other way. Yes, it definitely needs tweaking. Either a gentler tilt, or the duration of the tilt need drastically reducing. Quote
TheHighlightReel Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Saturday may have had the most underwhelming set of contestants I’ve ever seen. Is it just me or do the Gladiators seem to be taking it much easier on the contestants this series? There was one Wall where Comet barely got off the floor. Quote
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted February 16 Posted February 16 There definitely seems to be a sort of 'fixing' of results, particularly on the Wall. Legend has done it a bit as well with the whistle going and then a pause before stepping forwards and climbing. Can't remember the name, Crash Course?, is so dull. Just put them out as Atlaspheres please! Quote
RIDDUM_N_STYLE Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Yeah Saturday was the weakest of the series so far, can’t help but think the Women’s eliminator was a little bit fixed, don’t think (even going back to the OG show) that a contender has fell so many times on the early part and still ended up side by side at the travellator Quote
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted February 17 Awards Moderator Posted February 17 Agree on this week’s contenders not being the best. I think any of the runners up from any of the other heats would have beaten this episode’s winners on points. Both the blues had Eliminator moments I hadn’t seen before, though, fair play for falling from the monkey bars, twice, and not giving up though! I’d also kind of hoped Bionic would go into business for himself on Gauntlet and get a receipt in on Mo for that headshot after the whistle on Duel. Enjoyed him a lot more this series, and Cyclone is becoming a household favourite round our way. Also agree on Crash Course being rubbish, happy for them to scrap that game. Was Diamond legit injured last week? Quote

DavidB6937 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 When I went to the live tour there was definitely a more obvious element of fixing/performance, so it did make me wonder how much of that happened in the actual series. Quote
wordsfromlee Posted February 17 Posted February 17 You’d think they’d make sure during the application or something that the contestants are tall enough to even be able to reach things like the monkey bars. If that contestant had ended up winning there would have been some kicking off that she’d been allowed to skip that section and gone on to win so I’m kind of glad she didn’t. Quote

I figured Viper loses a bit too often and he's maybe told to lose or not try too hard, maybe he's just shit and I'm thinking too hard. I'm certain that they slow the travelator down if people are struggling. Would look shit if nobody finished it. Quote
TibBo Posted February 17 Posted February 17 They have definitely learnt from the live shows that they can kayfabe bits and it is still as entertaining as if they were trying 100%. The travelator seems to run like normal for the first 2 attempts of each competitor, then slows down to checkout conveyorbelt speed. Quote
Browser Brady Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I am actually really enjoying the current series. Cyclone has WWE potential for sure. Quote

RIDDUM_N_STYLE Posted March 8 Posted March 8 The running gag with Legend still trying to be part of the show while injured is getting a bit tedious now Ella’s gotta be the favourite to win the women’s competition now you’d think? She was amazing on the Eliminator to win last night’s QF. Men’s is a bit harder to call for me, any one of the 4 would be worthy Quote
