I instinctively agree with this, but the more I think about the more I think we're wrong.

Who you're partnered with is arbitrary, so if you're unlucky enough to get partnered with freak athletes in the heats and semis, your personal score could still be better than EVERYONE else and yet you'd still be out.

I think in a time based scoring system, it's okay to go with just the fastest people probably. It's not football, losing isn't losing per se... it's just being slower than the random person next to you..

What should bar him from going further is his wife sobbing at the end like he was competing in the Olympics or something. Grow up.

Had to do something to get back on the telly seen as she’d already lost and wasn’t coming back.

I thought Joe beating Legend on the Wall and cooking Apollo on the Edge was very impressive. Legend looked like he had him beat then he just flew up the last part.  

Mus from last week is very fast too so could be between them.

If they need to continue a best runner up goes through system (just to note, the current structure means there are 6 quarter finalists and only 2 of them get eliminated at that stage...) I'd prefer it done on highest points tally from the actual games (possibly an aggregate of the heat and the quarter). 

I've said it before in this thread about last series, but if there's one thing I'd like to change about Gladiators it's to somehow address the fact that ultimately it all comes down to who's quickest over an assault course that doesn't even involve any gladiatorial opposition, with the meat of the competition rarely resulting in any kind of significant advantage, and therefore not really mattering all that much.

The old celebrity episodes on the original series sort of had a running tally of points, with the lowest scoring contestants getting eliminated at each round, and the highest scoring ones at the end being the two who run the eliminator.

There was definitely some fudging of the time on the last 10 seconds part of the atlasphere race.

The tournament last year was a mess too, with losers getting into the semis due to injuries etc.

I like how people like Apollo, Sabre and (Anne) Diamond are getting more of a personality on screen this series after seeing Legend and Nitro making appearances on shows like House of Games and Would I Lie To You. They've realised they can make a nice bit of Gladiators-adjacent cash on the side doing panel shows. There's bound to be one on Celebrity Masterchef or Strictly next series.

Speaking of Nitro, he seems to be popping up on every show going at the minute. I guess with him being injured and missing the entirety of the second series they've sent him out to do the press rounds to earn his wage.

Gary Mason worked an injury to get out of the final with Neil Adams taking his place against "Fash", possibly because he was covered in so much sweat that he wouldn't have made it up the travelator.

They're already ahead of you, Nitro did Masterchef and Christmas Strictly last year and Fire did normal Strictly.

Apparently Legend's on Celebrity Apprentice this year which seems like a good fit.

They also did an episode of The Weakest Link that featured the majority of them just before Series 2 started, and Sabre was on an episode of Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel. Nitro has also done some bits & bobs for The One Show.

They’ll be around on various for as long as the BBC is willing to keep commissioning the show.

As I mentioned before, American Gladiators is on Amazon Prime and I’ve watched bits of the first series. Didn’t realise our favourite Mike Adamle was there right from the beginning. 
Id be all for them bringing ‘Human Cannonball’ back for Series 3

The 'Collision' game they have got at the moment is so awkward too...
Swing legs-first at the competitor and try to knock them off the bridge, but you cany kick or use your legs to grab them in any way.
