It also creates a "had a hard paper round" thread by itself too. https://twitter.com/ItsDanThomas/status/1503327424033001476
LCJ
A 53 year old retiree? Richard Wilson was very young for the part at the time then. Unless Victor had retired early (not watched it for years).
Cousin Jim Bob
This is probably more Mandela effect but I thought Michael Madsen died about 5 years ago, due to some kind of drug overdose. I'm guessing I just mixed him up with someone else as he is still appearing in about 50 shite movies a year.

I occasionally forget he's not dead, possibly because Yootha Joyce (Mildred) died in the early 80s. Stan from Wizadora too, which is what I know him as. Baffled he's still alive as he looked ancient when I was watching that.

Paid Members Gus Mears Posted July 5, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted July 5, 2023 People who appeared in ITV's Comedians is goldust for this. The Hulkster, Russ Abott, still dropping the big leg despite being 70 in the early 80's.

That’s just a rip off of the Wilfred Brimley one. 51 in Cocoon! This fucker is 12 years older than me.

Paid Members WeeAl Posted July 5, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted July 5, 2023 Some of these have floored me. Burt Young & Dick Van Dyke especially.

Awards Moderator Frankie Crisp Posted July 5, 2023 Awards Moderator Share Posted July 5, 2023 Eva Marie Saint - wonderful in North by Northwest and On the Waterfront - turned 99 yesterday. It’s not that I consciously thought she’d died, I just couldn’t believe she was still alive when I read of her birthday yesterday. Here she is five years ago, in incredible nick. I have vague memories of watching George and Mildred reruns on Gold in the 90s and my brain can't compute how someone that seemed so old even then (on a show that was already 20 years old) can still be alive. Looking him up on Wikipedia he was only early 40's when G&M.started!
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted July 6, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted July 6, 2023 I think it's amazing Roger Corman (b movie making legend since the 50s) is still alive, I'd love to meet him.
