The Head of Comms where I work openly boasts about how much he uses AI and it’s embarrassingly obvious in everything he writes. It’s slop. He writes press releases and news articles that are awful. He also undermines the two people under him all the time by putting everything they do through ChatGPT to ‘check it over’ and it makes factual, grammatical and stylistic mistakes all the time so it’s clear what he’s doing. And management don’t give a toss.

Edit: this is also someone I had to report to HR for making sexualised comments thinking he was being funny and made an inappropriate comment to me (in a group Teams chat that included several directors) about how ‘noble of me’ that I don’t read The Sun!

Boardwalk Empire is strange in that it felt like the biggest, most talked about show in the world while it was still running, but finished with a bit of a whimper and almost immediately nobody ever spoke about it again and now it rarely gets mentioned in these sort of lists.

Did it?! I don't think it ever really took off as a big show.

After the much hyped first episode directed by Martin Scorsese it barely got any mention anywhere and I have come across very few people in real life who had watched it. It's a truly excellent show, absolute peak TV drama but it never became part of the cultural fabric. Game of Thrones came out a year after Boardwalk's first season and instantly became the biggest thing going.

The list as a whole like most lists of this kind is mostly shite with some ridiculous choices. I don't take any of it seriously. 

Everyone who matters knows this is the only best TV list with any real credibility:

That's shocking. I will admit that I've drafted a letter and then popped it through ChatGPT or Gemini just to see whether it can make it look more formal or businesslike, but I'll always proofread it again afterwards.

What happened with the HR thing? Presumably a slap on the wrist.
