Just Some Guy
This has become reminiscent of watching Dad's Army in the 1980's with my Dad saying "he's dead" everytime someone walked on screen. Amazed to read that Robert Fyfe was in a big Hollywood film like Cloud Atlas.

Yes I was, but the reason that sketch was so funny was because it was true. Nearly mentioned it in my post TBH.
Paid Members Lenin Posted September 25, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2021 (edited) Pee Wee Ellis has passed away. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/pee-wee-ellis-obit-dead-1232060/amp/ An absolutely brilliant jazz saxophonist although somewhat overlooked in discussions about great musicians. Worked with Van Morrison and James Brown over the years. Another genius down. RIP x Edited September 25, 2021 by Suplex Sinner

I genuinely thought Russ Abbott had passed away.

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted October 16, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2021 Alan Hawkshaw that composed the themes to Grange Hill (And Give Us A Clue), Countdown, Channel 4 News, and probably more has passed away at the age of 84. https://twitter.com/DNAMUSICLTD/status/1449378700793982976?s=
wordsfromlee
He made some great library music for KPM and Bruton Music (which is where the Channel 4 News theme comes from). There's some great flips of his work in hip hop. I'm sure UNKLE sampled him on Psyence Fiction.

Wrote thebLove Hurts theme sung by Peter Polycarpou as well. Loads of work for charity and his daughter was lead singer of Opus III. RIP
