If the segment had ended on the "you'll regret putting your hands on me" line it would have been so much better and impactful if Becky then gave the look of slight concern and worry knowing that maybe she went too far and the segment should have ended at that point.

It really didn't need her to keep going on at Punk once he had left the ring and going back up ramp

That part really ruined the whole thing for me it just wasn't needed when the whole point of the promo/segment had already been achieved

Punk looks like he hasn't had a healthy nights sleep in months the poor bastard, real Ed Norton at the start of Fight Club territory. Why is Becky is talking like she just learned how to speak? seemed strangely robotic and reminded me of that Tiffany one the GM from WWECW years ago.

Whole show seemed so sterile and meh. I'll not be checking in again until Rumble or Mania. Hopefully Punk/Rollins is finsihed by then.

As has already been said, ending on the "You'll regret that." stuff would have been the end, but Lynch harping on about Punk being sweaty and smelly was pointless.

One massive effective slap would have been the one, but the constant skelping and the utterly stupid rubbing her head on his chest (I'm sure it was meant to be a menacing headbutt type thing) just looked daft.

That said, would be nice to see someone snap and say "You wan't to be THE MAN, let me treat you like a man" and twat the hell out of her. But I guess that just comes from my general apathy towards Becky at the moment. I'd just like someone to skelp her. But they'd probably bring out a t-shirt of her selling the hit.

(Also as an aside, I used to have an account here as Dazz but it's locked to my old e-mail address that is dead now, after ages of lurking and kinda falling away from the grapps, I want to get back onto it... Is there any way to recover the old account?)

I sincerely hope so, as it reads like it comes from somewhere else entirely.

I think that would officially qualify as "antipathy". Best case scenario.

I was about to comment that I don't understand why people would be excited for ex-general manager AJ Lee to return, but now I feel like I need to qualify that I don't want a large man to beat her.

I find this to be a common occurrence with wrestlers from the UK and Ireland. It's like they are doing a wrestling promo in an American cadence because that's what they think a wrestling promo should sound like that but because it's not in an American accent is sounds really fucking weird and unnatural.

I'll butcher this in the telling, but when I was younger I had real issues with my speech and had to see whatever you'd call a speech doctor and then later had to go to elocution lessons (the stutter in my username isn't just for funsies).

It mostly improved as I got older, but I stayed really interested in it - especially in secondary school when I got into drama - and I remember speaking with a professional who said that there's a reason why a disproportionate number of posh people in Britain get acting jobs in America (beyond privilege). Posh people are taught to speak without a background frequency, they enunciate every syllable correctly and leave gaps between speech. American's, for the most part, do that naturally. Pretty much everyone else in the UK has some sort of low level noise leaving their mouth at all times when they talk, a frequency that to everyone else who doesn't understand their accent considers to be mumbling. It makes working on TV, especially in America, really really difficult as they haven't got a clue what you're saying. Whereas Benedict Cumberbatch they understand clear as day.

I’ve not watched the whole show, but I watched the Becky/Punk segment on the back of reading this thread and I actually thought it was pretty good - Becky is a much better lead voice for that group than Heyman, and her goading of Punk to attempt to get him to do something unforgivable by striking out was well done.

I don’t agree with this. She was trying to anger him, and she was fired up herself, so the manic, aggressive movements felt more real. She doesn’t need to behave how female heels have behaved in the past towards male westlers, there’s no ‘one right way’ to do this - she was goading him and doing so in a very effective way in my opinion.

Does it make me want to see any more of Punk/Rollins? Well…no. But I thought it was a well done segment all the same.

Very interesting. I've done a bit of radio and podcasts over the years talking about Hull City or occassionally wrestling and it was only when listening back to one to see if I was any good I noticed mine. It's a very audible "....." while I'm thinking what to say next. I have the usual ums and ers you get from someone who isn't a really confident speaker but the low level drone during "silence" was new to me. I'm very aware of it now which is a ballache for Teams calls and the like.

Becky Lynch has been fucking awful for years now, almost to the second that they put her and Seth out there as a couple the first time.

I’ve only just heard about her Ozzy Osbourne comments from last weeks RAW. I don’t care if she’s a heel, that’s just shit, cheapest of the cheap heat and a kick in the teeth to a still grieving family.

Shes a prime example of a heel that doesn’t have heel heat but full blown just fuck off heat

Raw really is the pits at the minute isn't it.

Feel like I have seen that main event 100 times already this year,

The moment LA Knight’s music hit, I said to myself Knight & Uso v Breakker & Reed main event, yet it takes them 15 minutes of (very boring) talking to get there.
