Putting this in here as it refers to something that happened (or didn’t happen is maybe the best way of wording it) at Raw. This article relates to the initial issue that Nikki Bella wasn’t happy with Wade Barrett’s ‘heelish’ comments ahead of her match with Becky Lynch in Paris.

Nikki getting mad about something Wade said, on the same day that Ronda goes on record saying it was, “fucking ridiculous,” she was ever fighting Alexa Bliss and she refused to tap out against Becky Lynch because her mother would, “disown her.”

This was one of the better, hotter episodes of the year. Another reason why anyone who genuinely dislikes or wishes for the death of AEW is such a moron; in attempting to counter-program, this WrestlePalooza show is ridiculously stacked. They haven’t felt this hot or focussed since January. The Mixed Tag and The Uso Reunion against the Two Bronnies both feel like Huge, Box Office stuff. It’s what makes the Lesnar thing even worse. Even if you remove all the horrible grossness, they’ve absolutely no need for him. They’ve got enough hot hands in play.

That’s not to say they aren’t still drowning in lazy tropes though. How many impromptu matches did Adam Pearce make on this show? Three? Four? Such a rubbish, dumb way to format the show every single week.

I can’t even keep track of the commentary teams at this point, but any show with Big Joe Tess is immediately improved. He’s great.

AJ Lee’s promo was good. I was mostly just relieved it didn’t turn into a wanky worked shoot pipebomb attempt. All the mental health stuff was cool, if bizarre in this environment. Her getting the crowd to chant for, “therapy,” felt wildly at odds with the MAGA company she’s returned to. Poor Motor City Machine Guns though. They became such a pile of nothing in WWE that they’ve already re-purposed their, “your favourite tag team’s favourite tag team,” thing, with AJ describing herself as, “your favourite wrestler’s favourite wrestler.” They’re re-badged it, you fool!

Anyone else and I’d roll my eyes at another worked shoot, but because it was AJ Styles, I can genuinely believe that the moron forgot that Netflix doesn’t go to an ad break. That weird promo he cut mentioning Gallows and Anderson reeked of something he thought only the live crowd would ever see. All it needed was Jim Ross giving him a quick, “we’re live, pal!”

Remember when they had that Decibel Meter onscreen last year? They should bring that back, for Rusev entrances. It’d be negative. A non-pop even Zelina Vega would laugh at. Absolutely wild they put him over Penta.

Asuka’s new gimmick of being a complete prick is fantastic. Already love that thing backstage where she screams, “KAAIRI!” out of shot. That’ll get over huge.

Anyway, here’s the headline. I’m as shocked as anyone considering their anti-chemistry last time, but pairing Becky Lynch with Seth Rollins onscreen has helped Rollins’ act massively.

I don’t even particularly rate Becky that much, but she’s so much better at being a Campy, Panto Dickhead that it’s already rubbing off on Seth and this is the best thing he’s done in forever. Don’t think he’s shown this much arse all year.

Poor CM Punk though. Man can’t catch a break. The Bog of Eternal Seth finally turns a corner, he gets to perform with his wife, they probably negotiated a ridiculously fat contract to get her to return full-time, he actually looks happy for a change…and then he goes and nearly breaks his back leaving the ring!

That Julie Hart curse from Montreal still going strong. Turned into such a Shawn guy that he went full Royal Rumble 98!

Decent focused Raw as others mentioned

I like they've seemingly pulled back (for now at least) on the Seth/Bron Twins team the last 2 shows 

They still referenced the Vision as a collective but they've not been seen on screen together since the pre clash in Paris show and both Seth and Breakker/Bronson have benefited

Brons come across more of a threat alone like this than they did as Seths lapdogs 

I expect they'll come back around together soon enough but for now it has given a fresh energy to them all.

This…this…a thousand times this!

An issue even before ‘Unreal’ was released but given they’ve just done a ‘how the sausage is made’ peek-behind-the-curtain doco about how everything is planned and mapped out for a show, the audience then have to believe that they wouldn’t have the bulk (if not all) of the show already mapped out. Bothers me even more when it’s the main event of the show.
