I think it's probably the best thing for him given his injury record to have him work occasionally with a safe hand and not overstretch himself. He does seem happy so it's hard to criticise. It's not what I'd expect from Punk prior to this run but not much is, if I'm honest. Quote

I also wondered if this was the direction, especially with Punk mentioning Cody in the promo on Raw this week, would line up quite nicely. Maybe have Gunther retire Cena in December, and then AJ Styles at Mania and line him up for the winner of Punk/Cody after Mania. Also, given Punk's bucket list item of being in the main event at Mania, I have to imagine winning the rumble would be something he's got on that list too. Quote

Can only really see Rollins/Reigns at Mania if Rollins has dropped the participation belt by then, as surely Roman wouldn't lower himself going after that. If not, I still think it could be Rollins/Punk & Cody/Reigns as the Mania main events. Quote
