Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted September 8, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted September 8, 2020 I know when they were missing from November to May the talk was of an eventual repackage and that Peyton may make a singles run. It has shown just how reliant they've been on the 4 Horsewomen of NXT though that with 2 of them feuding on Smackdown, 2 gone, they're left with Mickie James and Natalya challenging Asuka and Peyton Royce about to get a singles push because they (rightly) don't want to lose the Shayna/Asuka feud that will eventually happen.
The Cutting Edge
What's even odder is the fact they could bring up or use in shortish term nxt women that either need to be called up or not up to much on any show. Same with the tag scene on both shows, both wafer thin but not adding/using new names, they tried briefly with Vink and Thorne but stopped (they might be on Main Event not sure). Even out with covid they must have a shit ton of names they could be using to pad out and freshen shows (no more profits vs Vega crew)Â

Haven't they brought up Bianca to do pretty much nothing with her though? I haven't watched Raw regularly but she seems to be there sometimes? Paid Members Supremo Posted September 8, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted September 8, 2020 (edited) For a group of supposed anti-WWE characters, this might be the most WWE-style promo I’ve ever heard. The language they use is absolutely ridiculous. In other news, Dominik Mysterio is great. Super colourful gear, throws a great punch, great at selling, super flashy high-flying. The best new prospect in forever, another example of how much their developmental system is not fit for purpose and everyone would benefit from skipping it entirely. Yeah true forgot about her too, not a fan of hers but should be doing more, but division needs padding out, even stick Shotzi or whoever on and try to bring eyes to nxt while they're at it

It's just nice to have an unknown quantity on the roster, we're actually going to watch him develop on TV. he looks better than anyone with 6? Matches ever should, and there was a moment during the payback tag match, he did a springboard arm drag, but he did that lucha thing where you arch your arms back and touch your heels, he looked every inch his fathers son....... Whoever his father may be. Not sold on the frog splash though, and he could use a few wacky lucha submissions.

That sunset flip off the apron on Murphy was a work of art. Odds of him beating Orton's record as youngest world champ in the next few years...? Actually, thats a ready made feud for some point. Orton as champ, defending his record and legacy vs Dominick. Has to happen.

So can we pretty much say that Retribution are some of the wrestlers WWE released recently come back to gain revenge? Are there any they ditched that are not now signed elsewhere? Mike and Maria? Rowan?

Paid Members Statto Posted September 8, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted September 8, 2020 Someone's messed around with the audio and it's pretty much confirmed the bloke speaking is Dijakovic (as if that wasn't obvious enough) and the thought is the woman speaking is Mercedes Martinez. Assuming these are actual intended reveals not just placeholders, interesting if they are a group getting revenge for a) being left in NXT and not called up or b) being left on the indies for years? Also seen it suggested that Mojo Rawley was one of the others in the promo, however, and he wouldn't really fit either of those moulds. Just getting revenge for not "being pushed" maybe? Paid Members Supremo Posted September 8, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted September 8, 2020 (edited) Another big part of Dominik’s upside is that he actually looks young. With a roster filled with blokes in their mid-30s, all with identikit beards and wet black hair, Dominik is exactly what they need and have been missing since Cena left. Someone kids can actually relate to and someone you feel genuine sympathy for when he’s selling a beat down. The lad’s inherited all his dad’s best qualities. Awesome.
