Scream VI (why the sudden switch to Roman numerals?) Saying that, I thought VI was a lot of fun although that may be because Dermot Mulroney has that 'okay, I'm in safe hands now' feeling where he just perks up any project he's involved in. See also Shea Whigham. The fifth one annoys me the most. At least they had that vaguely smart VI in the M design for Scream VI on the posters so I'll allow that. Quote
Paid Members air_raid Posted November 3, 2023 Paid Members Posted November 3, 2023 As wrestling fans, WestleMania surely takes the piss out of the numbering format the best? I, II, III etc "2000", "X7", "X8" XIX, XX etc XXX, (play), (star), (sun), (Scout logo), (crown of thorns), (pirate flag), (skull n swords), (star again), (marquee), (bellend) - credit Ian on that one. Why the fuck would you not want WrestleMania XXXX to BE "WrestleMania XXXX"? Celebrate your history you crazy old twat people. Quote

It wasn't even a high rise and was supposedly being knocked down. Rise was meant as an uplifting of the franchise but nope. Just poor gore porn. @Nostalgia Nonce Scream 4 exists if only for Alison Brie. Scream 5? No idea what you're talking about. A Boy & His Dog - Fallout 4 in 1970's film form. Questionable costume choices but there's enough in it to do the book justice. Street Trash - Lower than Troma stuff but the first 15 minutes are the most insane I've seen committed to actual cinema film. 3/4 films in one and goes off the boil. Would be a bit rapey for @Keith Houchen tastes. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted November 4, 2023 Paid Members Posted November 4, 2023 RoboCop I’ve been playing the new game and every time I got enthusiastic about something my wife would look up and eventually said she’d never seen RoboCop but why would I be excited about going to a Steel Mill? We watched the film. She laughed at ED-209 and asked why he sounded like a lion, then after it said Demolition Man is better so we’re watching that later. My wife is dead wrong by the way and ED-209 is cool. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted November 4, 2023 Paid Members Posted November 4, 2023 I saw one of the new Scream films on a flight recently. Not sure which one but it had a bit where the killer had a shotgun in a supermarket. It was pretty rubbish. I never liked how much the killer always gets his arse kicked, hard to take him seriously as a threat when he's tripping and flailing all over the place. Quote

Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted November 4, 2023 Moderators Posted November 4, 2023 Robocop is I guess the 'better' film but I'd still pick Demolition Man over it any time if given the choice to watch one or the other. Quote

Same. Simon Phoenix is one of the all time great heels. There’s really not much in it, maybe Robocop is more consistent. Quote

Yeah likewise. The opening half of Demolition Man in particular is an incredibly easy watch. Simon Pheonix going around causing mayhem is tons of fun. "What's my boggle?" Quote
