If it's this bad in summer, just how bad is this winter going to be? They don't care.

Plus it would make a mockery of Johnson's "got us through Covid" bullshit to now admit that maybe certain things like removing isolation and not requiring masks in certain settings was a mistake,

Not with Covid itself but my first dose of Astra about a year ago made me evacuate like I'd had an enema as the grand opener to a night of feeling like hell. She tested positive on Monday, so the day we’ve been trying tirelessly to avoid for more than 2 years has finally come. Luckily, so far, she seems to have a heavy cold and feels quite tired, so it’s looking like her 4 jabs have helped her. To say that’s a relief is an understatement, as her immune system is such that it struggles to fight off even the smallest of bugs. We tried to get her an antibody test after each jab, but that system just doesn’t work and she was denied each time. That’s despite both her doctor and her specialist warning her that her immune system would likely struggle to create the antibodies following her vaccine. So as it stands, her COVID experience so far is as “good” as we could have hoped. I’m still testing negative, although I’ve had a mild sore throat since yesterday morning. Sorry to hear that. All the best and hoping for a speedy recovery.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted July 6, 2022 Moderators Share Posted July 6, 2022 Really relieved to hear that her experience hear been ok so far @scratchdj. Had my heart in my mouth when I read that second paragraph, so can only imagine the anxiety you guys had when she tested positive.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted July 11, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted July 11, 2022 I'm still feeling fatigue, my breathing isn't as good as it usually is, this is almost 4 weeks in. I'm seeing my GP this afternoon for a blood test and a chest x-ray, then we'll see what to do from there. It's doing my head in.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted July 11, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted July 11, 2022 My mum and dad had Covid last year. Afterwards during the recovery period, both had breathing problems; a friend recommending doing inhalation steaming with clove oil, as it's astringent and has slightly anaesthetic properties. Seemed to help the difficulties ease up a bit.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted July 11, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted July 11, 2022 I've got a week's course of antibiotics, had some blood tests done, and I'm waiting for a chest x-ray. I've also got a note for 2 more weeks off. Obviously if I do start feeling better I'll see my doctor and get signed back into work. It's doing my head in. Usually Mrs Jazzy has to tell me to slow down if we're out because I walk quite fast, but currently I have to ask her to slow down for me, when I'm not stopping for a rest. I can't imagine the heart's helping. If I go too fast or I'm on my feet for too long I feel like I'm going to be sick. It's awful.

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted July 11, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted July 11, 2022 Thanks for that Ralphy. I'll take a look, but keep my lawyer on standby to help me with any fine print.

As soon as I knee I had it I just started wearing a mask around the house to make sure Mrs Jazzy was alright. She managed to avoid it. Yeah my uncle and myself both wear masks and are able to effectively avoid each other around the house, he carries anti bacterial wipes and cleans down all the door handles etc. My youngest is 3 soon and spent last night vomiting on me so I am not wearing a mask around her, she has been pretty much attached to me all day. I am testing daily and avoiding all my elderly family (and everyone else for that matter) I work in a school and covid is running wild in there as well. Paid Members Jazzy G Posted July 12, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted July 12, 2022 It's running rampant everywhere. We're having North of 300,000 new cases a day, and they're the ones that are being reported. It's as prevalent now as it was at its peak.
