It was interesting that Kids TV Presenter Bray was shown live in the arena for the first time, as well as being the version advertised for the Miz match against TLC. I wonder if he'll wrestle in his sweater and not show any of the indestructible elements of The Fiend? Didn't look like it was announced as a Title match, either. Mostly though, I just hope this version doesn't wrestle under that fucking red light.

Daniel Bryan not getting the match at TLC is interesting, too. I wonder if that means they've realised how little they've got for Wrestlemania season so they're going to hold off on Bryan's return until a wild, shaved-headed version comes out and wins The Rumble, facing Bray at Wrestlemania. They had a great match at Survivor Series, so he'd certainly be a great choice for his Wrestlemania opponent now he's turned back to being a fully fledged babyface.

Do you think Seth Rollins watches Smackdown and realises how much he dragged Bray down? Things have picked up considerably since they moved Bray to Fridays.

Bray Wyatt is carrying Smackdown at the moment but that thing in The Miz’s house was proper shit. They’re lucky no fucker watches this show anymore. The one thing worse than the invisible camera? Miz actually acknowledging that there was a full camera crew just hanging out in his toddler’s bedroom on the off chance something spooky made him run in to check on her.

I know he’s been described as a Vince McMahon Yes Man for years, but this run as head of Smackdown is really solidifying Bruce Pritchard as such. It reeks of a show written entirely for Vince. At least on Raw you can see Heyman trying to push through some type of vision and going with his favourites. Friday nights has become the dullest, paint-by-numbers job, week in and week out. I keep thinking of the Fox execs, having expected to get Ronda and Brock, then ending up with Baron Corbin.

A special shout out to everyone on the show acting like removing someone’s fake eyelashes is both painful (last week) and the most disrespectful, personal attack imaginable (last night). Never has a show felt so obviously written by weird, out-of-touch old bastards.

Still, this from Dash Wilder was gold.

I only remembered SmackDown happened when I saw this thread had been posted in.

That's me every week.

One thing they can never win with is non title matches. The guy who writes the report I read is always complaining about Champions losing non title matches and I'd agree somewhat because it can be very obvious in WWE. Then there are always people scoffing about them just handing out title matches. So this week, they have a non-title match, which the Champs won, and he still moaned.

I'm still confused about it being on a Friday.

I'm NEVER going to keep up with Smackdown now. I'd sometimes check the results on Bleacher on Wednesday morning on the way to work, but there's no way I'm doing that on a Saturday morning. I couldn't tell you who is even on the show. Then again, I can't even be bothered to check the Raw results these days anyway.

Not arguing the point of it being shit, but at least they have an out for the invisible camera thing with Miz. He and Maryse have that stupid little reality show, Miz and Mrs, so he'd be the one person they have on the roster that it makes sense for WWE cameras to be at his house.

Smackdown's a tough watch. It airs live here Saturday morning, and given that I'm usually recovering from a Friday night out, my standards are lower than usual. Still would much rather chuck on the Network and find something from when they gave a shit creatively.

I did get a chuckle out of the Otis/Mandy interactions though. Dozer giving hope to all us fat, sweaty blokes out there with that one.

I’d never even considered that! Great point. Wish they’d explained it on the show though.

Anyway, about last nights show, there’s only one constant in WWE;

They. All. Dance. In. The. End.
