This is from a chippy in Shibuya, Japan. The fish looks odd but those chips look almost perfect.

Staying in West Bay in Dorset, decided on a chippy tea. They had faggots, chips, gravy and mushy peas. I've never had a faggot and Mr Brains look disgusting but these were from the local butcher so I gave them a whirl. Absolutely delightful and glad I gave them a go.

Any recommendations for a chippy in Weymouth? Holidaying there in August so want to try what the UKFF recommends...

From the few I went to Marlboro was by far the best, the chips are crinkle cut add the curry sauce was really good. Bennett's is the worst, Always a huge queue due to the location, overpriced, small portions.

Vicky and I took the dogs to the beach the other night. Stopped off at Top Chippy at Bispham on the way home for the nicest chips I've had in a while. If you're up there early enough the Bispham Kitchen next door is eat in and does decent scran of all kinds during the day. I'm pretty sure Top Chippy is the same stuff but to take away.

We paid £4.60 for an extra large portion of chips. Lashing a of salt and vinegar. We're going to drive up there on a school night while the illuminations are on.

Fellow lancastrians will be pleased to hear that as well as chicken, cheese and onion, and steak puddings, they also do a butter pie. Delicious with some cheese in top and some baked beans.

It's a bit out of the way for the rest of the year, but if you're there for the illuminations it's right at the top of them, and perfectly located for the drive back home afterwards.

Last time I was over in Bispham we went to another chippy just down that same road called Bellamy's fish bar which was also superb, used to be known as "Middle Chippy" back in the day.

Yeah a Butter Pie has Onion and Potato in.

Another delicacy up here, although never seen them outside of Blackburn is the John Bull, which is minced beef inside two slices of potato, which is then coated in batter and deep fried.

Superb stuff.
