Jesus, sorry to go off topic but it is, isn't it? My son's not even really old enough to understand it but I'm absolutely hooked. It's just fantastic.

Wait until you see the Puppet Show and Stick Badges. 2 of the best 5 minutes you’re likely to see outside of a porn site

You honestly think Presley, King, and Dylan were just great artists and not influential?

Dylan was much of a muchness at the time, quite frankly. And Ledley King could only train once a week.

But, jesting away, recieved musical wisdom is normally far away from the truth. What was Bob Dylan that wasn't before him? We've had folk (up to our fucking eyeballs) for an age before him.

Electric folk. He made it acceptable, whereas before it was considered something akin to heresy.

The day he appeared on stage with an electric guitar the rules were rewritten.

Whether you like it or not the person with the biggest influence on music is Simon Cowell. The music and the TV shows he is responsible for have changed the music business completely.

Sure there have always been manufactured pop groups but he changed the nature of it. He found a way to make money off the process by showing us how they were put together. He's the magician that showed us the tricks. He is a high waist banded closet homosexual botox loving Penn and Teller rolled into one smug man.

PS1 is the best gaming system to have ever existed.

Better than any of the 8 & 16 bit era I grew up with. Out classed any of its 32 & 64 bit era, and shits all over it’s predecessors.

Also, Fender pisses all over Gibson... country mile.

Disagree about Dylan and Electric Folk, I'd say other artists who had covered his songs with electric guitars influenced him to give it a shot.  Dylan isn't really that influential, he was the next step in the road from Guthrie to Rambling Jack Elliott.  Dylan was great for a time but he wasn't a game changer.

EDIT - @Lion_of_the_Midlands He is now, but Pete Waterman was doing it first, that's why I mentioned SAW as being influential and game changing.
