Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 10, 2018 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 10, 2018 I can't remember but with it having Byung-hun Lee in it there's a chance it probably did.
Mr_Danger
Shanghai Noon is the greatest Western Martial Arts film ever made! I bet Wild Wild West snuck some in too.
Loki
I find Peckilnpah's films deeply affecting, but it's very hard to pinpoint exactly why or whether I'm having the intended reaction of the director. Â Straw Dogs and Cross Of Iron are hard, unrelenting films. Â I haven't seen The Wild Bunch in years, but I remember it being very good. Â
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 10, 2018 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 10, 2018 Actually, I did like Cross of Iron, it's probably my favourite of his but I still didn't love it.
The Maestro
I watched Paddington yesterday and I absolutely loved it. I've read good stuff about it on here and I thought it'd be okay to watch with the little one. She enjoyed it too which was good. I definitely need to watch the second one. For the kid of course.

They really liked it too, but going to watch the second one at the cinema probably ended up being more of a treat for me than anyone else.

It was originally Twilight fan-fiction that she posted online. It got quite popular so she changed the names and got it published.
WyattSheepMask
Which beggars belief that the author of Twilight hasn’t been on the phone to the lawyers, as EL James essentially took her work, changed a couple of names and put a couple of fucks in and ended up a few million better off

She changed the vampire into a rich bloke, changed blood-drinking into a warped idea of a BDSM relationship, and changed their names.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 10, 2018 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 10, 2018 And besides, her shitty books probably added a lot more value to the Twilight series once it came to light what her stories were based on. Keith Houchen
Wasn't there something about Anne Rice damaging her sales because she clamped down very aggressively on Fan Fiction? Â Is there a Fan Fiction rule that you can only write Fan Fiction about really cack books to begin with?

I nearly wrote a book called Fifty Shades of Spud (seriously) but changed the name at the last moment lest her ex-vampiric drivel come after me. Edited September 10, 2018 by Onyx2
Keith Houchen
If you wrote it, I imagine it would be either a best seller in Ireland or Facebook would be littered with posts like "Date night with Mr Maverick LOL"
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 10, 2018 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 10, 2018 I've had to write about her sodding books (and the film adaptations) several times for work. Pretty much everyone in porn hates them and thinks they're damaging as hell. When porn thinks you're doing harm then you really are doing something badly wrong. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted September 11, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 11, 2018 (edited) Surely that's the first group of people you'd expect to have complaints about it? One, because it's damaging their industry and two because for once it's actually something outside of the industry itself that's the problem. It's like all the wrestlers champing at the bit to attack Meltzer, because they're so relieved that they're not the problem for once.
