Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted August 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 19, 2017 You never see "Raw Deal" or "Red Heat" mentioned. I don't think I've even watched either.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted August 19, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 19, 2017 Raw deal is pretty shit tbh. Red heat is good fun and worth a watch, bAz. Personally I think Running Man is one of the better ones.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted August 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 19, 2017 IIRC, Red Heat opens with beautifully shot scenes featuring Arnie's arse.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted August 19, 2017 Author Paid Members Share Posted August 19, 2017 Yeah, Raw Deal is easily one of his worst aside from when his wife throws a pudding at him. Red Heat is not quite one of his best but still really funny and it's Walter Hill as a bonus.
Paid Members ReturnOfTheMack Posted August 19, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 19, 2017 I watched it last night, agree 100% with that review.
RIDDUM_N_STYLE
Watched an incredibly cheesy sci-fi/horror film called Mold! via the Filmon app on Kodi last night. The acting and special effects were hilariously bad, like something out of the late 70s/early 80s so imagine my shock that it actually came out in 2012!!!. If that wasn't enough, the cover of the DVD release makes it out to be a much better film than it actually is with post apocalyptic imagery
Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted August 20, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 20, 2017 I was astounded that Life was 10 times better than Alien: Covenant. I probably shouldn't have been considering what Ridley Scott has become, but fucking hell Alien: Covenant is an utterly dreadful film on all levels. WyattSheepMask
But Life is just Alien, which Ridley Scott made so all that's happening is your watching a bad Ridley Scott knock-off be better than a bad Ridley Scott film (although it was still better than Prometheus, but not by much) Edited August 20, 2017 by WyattSheepMask
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted August 20, 2017 Author Paid Members Share Posted August 20, 2017 Life is decent but nothing more. It's much better than Scott's recent two Alien films and at least it has no pretensions about what it is.
Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted August 20, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 20, 2017 Oh yeah, I'm not saying Life was an excellent piece of cinema or anything. It's just a pretty good film. But that's enough for it to piss all over Alien: Covenant.
Keith Houchen
Not exactly setting the piss bar high, is it?
Members SuperBacon
Are we watching the same film? Im an hour into Life and it's just Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence wise cracking and getting old. When do the aliens show up?
