The Punisher is an excellent series, mainly because it's not really that Marvel; it's more a man-on-a-mission conspiracy thriller that just happens to be set in the MCU. That said, I haven't seen season 2, so I don't know if they managed to resist bringing in a superhuman.

I didn’t hate Love & Thunder! It had major problems with a schizophrenic tone, but I’ve accepted long ago Disney X Marvel means too many jokes from literally every character at inappropriate moments that should have gravity/where characters are in mortal danger. That ship sailed with Age Of Ultron, and laughed itself completely into a watery grave with Guardians vol 2.

Punisher remained in a semi realistic space. Some of Punishers opponents and the situations he found himself in were a little unrealistic. To be expected though. Its very violent and not your usual Marvel fare. Definitely worth watching. Its veen a while since I watched it, but I don't remember it having much crossover with the MCU. It is largely its own thing.

Finally got round to Kraven.

 

Fucking Hell. What a pile of shit. It had so much potential, but hid it inside a film with ropey effects, terrible pacing, and horrific editing. 

Still better than Madam Webb though.

Also read the Godzilla Vs Fantastic 4 one shot. Godzilla Vs Hulk looks like it's going to be even wackier. 

Absolute Martian Mindfucker issue two arrives tomorrow. 

Godzilla Vs Hulk was a heck of a ride. Hulk Vs Spider-Man next. What I found interesting was that the Fantastic Four one had something of a 60s feel to it, Hulk was clearly set in the 70s, and from the look of the cover of the next part Spidey looks like he's wearing the Todd Macfarlane post Venom suit with the black details, so could be a 90s throwback. 

Absolute Martian Manhunter was interesting. The Absolute universe stuff is very interesting.

I agree, it’s the most I’ve enjoyed an MCU thing since Guardians 3. 

Florence Pugh is basically the main character, and that’s a good decision as she’s great in it. Really liked Lewis Pullman as Bob. Geraldine Viswanathan is a lot of fun in a supporting role. David Harbour is good value. I’d say it’s a 7/10 but a strong 7. I was entertained.

I won't watch the film but Florence just downing a chunk of cheese in the press run-up to the premier is gold, she's one of us.

Thunderbolts is getting great reviews. I'm excited.

I enjoy most of them anyway but Thunderbolts definitely hits the sweet spot between emotion and humour and action. They got that completely right.

Not that I'm ever against seeing Florence but it was nice we got to spend more time with the characters and get more invested in them.

Has Thunderbolts opened so badly that Marvel are spoiling it across their social media after it's been in cinemas for 5 days?

If that was the strategy all along they can get in the bin.
