It looks like Thing from the Roger Corman version and I’m not mad at that. But I’m sure the CG will be tweaked before release

I’m in the middle of watching Venom: The Last Dance after renting it, and it might be the worst film I’ve ever seen. I actually quite liked the first two films, but this is beyond abysmal. I’m contemplating switching it off, but since I paid money for it, I feel like I should persist. But fuck me, this is bad.

I never really got on with the others if I'm honest and I'm quite easily pleased when it comes to stuff like this. So I haven't bothered with the last one yet.

The first two Venom films achieved the objective in being somewhat fun and there’s something to be said about a comic book film not taking itself so seriously and being a two star big daft time. That being said they overindulge Tom Hardy and let him turn all his worst acting traits up to 11. They kind of work as kids films you shouldn’t really let your kids watch. I imagine they’ve propped up that extended Spider-Man universe on their own because nobody is watching the rest of that shit they insist on putting out.

I’ll probably dial back in to Marvel for FF4. If nothing else but for seeing it as a vehicle to kick Ebon Moss Bachrach’s career up a couple of notches. Richie deserves it.

I really don’t walk out of films no matter how bad they are. This pushed me to that limit. I actually think Madame Web was worse, albeit funnier than The Last Dance.

While I’m looking forward to both Thunderbolts and FF, I’m more excited for Captain America, hoping it’s more like The Winter Soldier in tone.

Watching all the promo material for Thunderbolts and considering the superhero movie fatigue that nearly everyone has these days, then surely it's going to be another huge box office disaster?

Its not fatigue, its bad movie fatigue. And pre sales are doing well for Cap 4. And reviews are saying its good, just nothing special.

Thunderbolts just looks like a terrible Suicide Squad rip off, complete with a Harley Quinn esque blond to lead. I think it will be a flop.

I was never really interested in the Thunderbolts past the original run - but, seeing as they've already used Helmut Zemo as a character in the earlier MCU films, they can't really do that run, which is a shame.

Awful take. Marvel at least established the characters in previous movies/shows before the ensemble piece - quality not withstanding it’s a more justified film than either of the suicide squad films even if the 2nd one wasn’t awful. Also - Harley Quinn and Yelena really only have being blond as a common trait, even just from the trailer it’s a stretch to compare the two.

The trailer was basically a rehash of the Suicide Squad plot? It is the exact same plot tropes as Suicide Squad; A bunch of villain's being sent to do a job by Government agency. There won't be a single review of this movie that won't mention a comparison.

Oh I agree reviews may make the lazy comparison between the 2 films, my comment you quoted was specifically related to Yelena and Quinn though, I’d be surprised if any reviews drew those comparisons.

The trailer is beat for beat playing off Suicide Squad though, embrassingly so. Even if the end film isn't they've actively chosen to be like it here, even down to the song choice.

Is it because they're all bad guys? The whole point of SUICIDE squad is some of them will die, I reckon The Thunderbolts will be the new Avengers team for Doomsday.
