Pretty sure it's had a decent enough opening but yeah really glad i saw it ASAP as they've been incredibly blatant with the spoilers.

They've now officially renamed the film (trying to PR the fact that it's the first time ever a film has been renamed after release... like who gives a shit?) and replaced all their LA, New York and apparently London outdoor advertising with the new title.

I give a shit, but mostly because it’s not all that uncommon - I can think of Edge Of Tomorrow/Live Die Repeat, Star Wars/Episode IV A New Hope and Dune/Dune Part One off the top of my head without much thought at all. Marvel even did it themselves with Falcon/Captain America and the Winter Soldier!

I agree that it is shite.

I'll add the slight mitigation that that was a miniseries not a movie, only because it allows me to moan how much I disliked that Sam got a name change in the title at the end but Bucky didn't. 

Bucky no longer being the Winter Soldier by the end of that series (having worked through the trauma of things he did while brainwashed) was just as much a theme as Sam taking up the shield.

I don't know if I believe it, to be fair. I mean, I believe Drax/Gamora not being in it if the latter is staying dead/alt version isn't important and Big Dave can't be arsed, but I'm not sure I believe Phyla, Cosmo and Warlock being in it. There's overkill and then there's "has anyone got Mickey Rourke's number" level of overkill.

Has big Dave said goodbye to Marvel? Drax was a standout for me, I can't think of a role he hasn't leveled up.

Thunderbolts was an exciting enough romp.

Loved David Harbour in it chowing down on the scenery like a starving man at an all you can eat buffet. I was surprised they offed Taskmaster so quickly, but with multiverse shenanigans on the horizon it's easy enough to bring her back.

Looking forward to Fantastic Four and Superman in July. Hopefully I'll get to go for a nice quiet Saturday morning showing as is becoming traditional.

You'd have to think so with the muscle mass he chose to drop. Imagine getting big enough to do Drax again would be an absolute nightmare

I think Dave and most of the GOTG lot have said they're happy with how that ended and with Gunn being gone they'd rather explore other roles. So I doubt we'll be seeing many of them back. Just the ones you'd expect off the end of vol 3. And they're probably right. They did end it well enough that I'm not sure many need another appearance.

Yeah him and any of the "new" Guardians are the ones most likely to pop up somewhere. I'd be surprised to see any of the others.

Guardians 3 ended with a "Star Lord will return" (didn't it?) but I think they said that about the Eternals as well, and much as I can hope for it, that probably isn't happening ever.
