Blade Runner 2049 is holding an 85/100 on Metacritic if that means fuck all, it's got a few top scores and only one "mixed" so far. I'll likely see it day one now that my local Odeon had dramatically dropped their prices due to the Showcase showing them up.

I watched a film on Netflix called Skins.

Why did I do that? 

It has a woman with an arse for a face and a guy who wished he didn't have legs. A woman with no eyes and a very large woman. Some fucked up sex scenes and a touch of death. 

Utter shite.

I know that the IMDB rating system isn't to be used as some sort of Quality Barometer the same that Lords of Pain shouldn't be used as a credible Wrestling News spice, but how has Blade Runner 2049 got 342 ratings (currently holding a 9.0) already when it only had its world premier last night.

Harvey Weinstein has been fired from his own production company in the wake of his history of sexual harassment being revealed. I've always hated him so while it's a shame he got away with it for so long it's good to see him go down in disgrace.

Yep. The book Down & Dirty Pictures by Peter Biskind (author of Easy Riders/Raging Bulls) tells you that he is an absolute cunt. I'm not knocking what he and the company did for the 90s/00s independent scene and yes Hollywood is full of dickheads but he sounds like the absolute worst.

Great book by the way...highly recommended
