I don't think Edge Of Tomorrow was underrated, it was well received across the board, just slightly mis-marketed which is why it didn't do quite as well at the box office as expected. They tried to address that for the DVD release and sales were more on target as a result.

I thought they should do a prequel spin-off focusing on Emily Blunt's previous campaigns and it sounds like that's what they may be going for. Not sure how Tom Cruise would fit into that story but it's Tom, he'll be fine.

Sorry Devon, you are correct. I should have been clearer in meaning by box office figures. My first child was born as it was coming out so missed the cinema release, but had pre-order the 3D blu for when it came out and was not disappointed in the slightest.

On the subject of Mindhorn, I have to say that it looks like the unfunniest film ever made from the trailer. If those are supposed to be its funny bits then fuck knows what the film as a whole must be like. It looks like that Grimsby film that I would never even consider watching.

Don't. Grimsby was terrible. I quite like SBC, but this was the pits. The only good thing is that will surely have tanked his leading project career going forward. He is like Vince Russo, he needs someone to tell him to reign it in sometimes

Stumbled over the fact Odeon now do a £17.99 Limitless card like Cineworld's Unlimited card. I previously lived right next to a Cineworld and was gutted when I moved away 4 years ago. Unfortunately round where I live now there's every other sodding cinema chain bar Cineworld. So I had to just swallow the bitter pill that I couldn't watch everything under the sun anymore. I bet they started it at Odeon about a week after I last checked four years ago. None the less I'm now Limitless and made my first double yesterday.

First up was Sleepless starring Jamie Fox in a daft but simple action movie. Basic premise is Die Hard in a casino but less fun and witty. I quite liked it even if something right at the start makes it utterly preposterous. It's biggest hurdle is that I don't buy Fox as a straight up a action hero. If it were Stallone or Statham then it would be just as silly but easier to accept. Still though worth a watch.

Then it was Guardians Vol 2 which is a riot.

None of the Sleepless Night blu rays appear to have English subs so I'll rent it from Amazon instant later. I hate it when we don't get decent releases of films in the UK. Really irritates me probably more than it should.

Watched The Void last night after Amazon screwed my pre order up for 3 weeks. Well worth a watch. I love practical effects, John Carpenter etc. Might watch it again this afternoon as I was pretty tired whilst watching it.

Mindhorn any use? only new film I have even half interest in seeing.

My cineworld has it on this week after not showing it opening week. I'm seeing it Monday and try and report back. Then nothing (except maybe Guardians again) before Baywatch for me

How many films would you need to watch to make the Limitless subscription worthwhile? You can easily spend close to £20 whilst watching one film, once you've bought drinks and snacks. A regular cinema goer could really make this work for them. Especially if you're smart about where you get your refreshments.

We have Unlimited cards for Cineworld, and there prices are around £9 for tickets so going twice a month minimum pays for it.

It all depends what's actually on at the cinema. Some parts of the year we find our selves going once or twice a week, other times we might only go once in that month, other times you find yourself going to watch pretty much anything to justify paying for it which can sometimes result in seeing an unexpected gem (Split for example) or some utter bumph

I've had an unlimited odeon card for a couple of months and the novelty definitely hasn't worn off yet, I always wanted to go to the cinema more and now I see anything I'm remotely interested in and I'm loving it. The funnest part is I've seen a handful of films I knew nothing about going in except a cast member or two, I would never pay a tenner to see a film I knew nothing about but sitting at the cinema with barely any idea what to expect is great and is a good antidote to other films I watch where I feel the trailer already showed everything.

i used to have an Unlimited card a Cineworld but it was a bit of a trek to the cinema so i dropped it eventually... i instead ended up paying full prices at a Vue cinema which opened closer which evened out when you take into consideration petrol and all that stuff, they've recently dropped their prices to £4 all day, every day though. There's also a Vue cinema in Cardiff which does the £4 thing but other Vue's still charge £9 per movie, not sure why but i aint complaining.
