Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 23, 2017 Paid Members Posted February 23, 2017 Not half as annoyed as they'll be if it turns out anything like Prometheus. Quote
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted February 24, 2017 Awards Moderator Posted February 24, 2017 What an audacious trailer though. No jump-scares, blood-sprays or flickering lights. Just the crew having a party before settling into hyperspace. Great atmosphere. Quote
Merzbow Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 The little chest burst tease was a nice touch, although, I think that's something that could have had a bigger impact in the main film and I assume this prologue is a seperate deal that won't be included in the full release. Quote
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted February 24, 2017 Paid Members Posted February 24, 2017 I didn't mind that. The chest buster tease was a nice touch. Still, Ridley Scott. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 24, 2017 Paid Members Posted February 24, 2017 I want this to be good and after The Martian, I am slightly more hopeful than I was about a year ago. Even so, I think Ridley should stick to making more daft entertaining stuff like The Martian than trying to make serious sci-fi and further muddying the waters in a series where pretty much everything that needs to be said has been. Mr_Danger Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 I thought that was one of them MTV movie award style piss take type videos they have on those shows. Probably because of the presence of Kenny Fucking Powers. Quote
Paid Members Nick Soapdish Posted March 12, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 12, 2017 Why is nobody excited we have a trailer for a new Edgar Wright film?!? https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=z2z857RSfhk Quote
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted March 12, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 12, 2017 (edited) It's a shame that they could not get an aging Vangelis to put out one last score. Some guy called Jóhann Jóhannsson (I've just cut and pasted that) is doing it. Edited March 12, 2017 by bAzTNM#1 Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 12, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 12, 2017 Christ almighty, bAz, you make him sound like some busker they roped in off the street! Quote
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted March 12, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 12, 2017 If it means we get a Sicario-calibre score out Double J's arse, then I'm not too moved about Vangelis not being involved. I'm optimistic about this, it has so many capable people involved. Quote
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted March 13, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 13, 2017 (edited) Christ almighty, bAz, you make him sound like some busker they roped in off the street! I've never heard of him! .. If he's as good as Vangelis, give me some tunes. Edited March 13, 2017 by bAzTNM#1 Quote

Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted March 13, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 13, 2017 I've not seen it, but I do remember the reviews were very mixed. It got 4 and 0 stars in two reviews in The Guardian, for example. Thanks for the reminder, I need to check it out. Quote
Members Arn Anderson's Darb Posted March 13, 2017 Members Posted March 13, 2017 Sorry I've gone and moved that post to the DVDs and Films thread and left your reply in limbo there. Re: The Greasy Strangler. Please let me know what you think if you do watch it Colin! Quote
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted April 7, 2017 Paid Members Posted April 7, 2017 Fucking gutting news to wake up to, I've been so pumped for this film since the Austrian Oak returned to acting. Arnie's "King Conan" film is dead Quote
