For me personally I dont think the Scottish game is great at the moment, its just a bit more competitive than most years.

Dont get me wrong, I was born in Glasgow and have lived in or near the city for my entire life. I grew up going to Celtic games with my dad from a really young age. A huge amount of my family absolutely live and breathe Celtic. My dad got his first ever passport to go watch the away leg of Celtic v Real Madrid in the European Cup.

My view is that Celtic have had a poor season. Many of the top players from recent years have gone. Schmeichel looks washed up. Maeda had a 30 goal season last year and has been anonymous for large chunks of the season. Rodgers left again amid the perception that he wasn't backed in the summer. Got possibly the most favourable possible CL qualification route and failed to qualify. Nancy with a brief but historically bad Management run. I dont even have the energy to get into the various spats between the board and supporters.

If anything I think Martin O'Neill (who is the best Celtic Manager of my lifetime) is getting the absolute most out of the very average squad available to him.

Rangers similar. Russell Martin was yet another failure and sacked. Rohl has steadied the ship somewhat but they are drawing a lot of games and are a shadow of the sides that have over achieved in the Europa League in recent times.

Hearts have improved of course but they also have the benefit of the two Glasgow clubs regressing massively.

I do understand why a neutral would be happy that someone other than Celtic and Rangers won it. I would find it quite difficult convincing someone with no vested interest in a partcular club to watch Scottish football though.

Edit: CBA to make a double post, but just reading about this mass brawl between Cruzeiro and Mineiro.

Just the 23 red cards then.

Was meant to post this. Hulk punching some in the face. A fist as powerful as his shots.

As for Spurs and replacing Tudor, they could do a lot worse than Dyche. If they replace Tudor with someone like him, they stay up. Tudor will taken them down imo.

It's a great story. Not a big fan of Lincoln, mainly from some battles in the late 90s and early 2000s but it is crazy that I last went there for a league game in the awy end with North Ferriby United. A literal village team playing Lincoln City in the National League. That was the season Lincoln had that great FA Cup run and went on to win the National League. They went through League 2 pretty quickly and have established themselves as a solid League 1 team, built a good squad, made a great managerial appointment in Michael Skubala, had a very exciting takeover and are on the brink of the Championship.

Believe the last time Lincoln were in the second tier, Spurs won the Double. That would be a funny coincidence if the worst happened.

Great city, Lincoln. A must visit if you haven't.

Never having been to that corner of the country, I'd forgotten all about North Ferriby United and their dalliance with an almost professional division.

Once reminded about them, I checked and it turns out the reformed North Ferriby FC are still going to said city for a league game this season on the 18th of April... to play Lincoln United.

There is nothing like a game at The Sun-Hat Villas and Resorts Stadium.

Getting relegated so we don’t have to face Arsenal as champions

You’ll be fine. We’re now in the drop zone, and I really can’t see us getting out of it. How about this for a stat?

Relegation is all we deserve. The blame lies with Marinakis, the mad cunt.

Hearts/Killie…I have a bad feeling about this one in spite of Kilmarnock’s hammering at the hands of Falkirk. But then, I have that feeling before every Hearts game right now and they keep getting results. I’m hoping it’ll be the same here, but yeah…bad feeling.

Bloody knew it. Gutted. Pretty sure this’ll be the result that opens the door for Celtic or Rangers to move ahead of Hearts, maybe even both.

I don't know how Liverpool fans cope with having Cody Gakpo in their team every single game. One of those rare forwards that whenever he gets one-on-one with a defender the crowd sits down in anticipation.

Couldn't score against Dragusin. DRAGUSIN! A player so bad he should've really been breathalysed at full time.

Should be enough to buy Tudor some time. Which is probably bad news for Spurs, but either way it makes for a fun watch.
