Yes, they're generally 6th by quite a long way in terms of wage bills, trailing the rest of the big 6 and not being far ahead of Villa and Newcastle. It's one of the reasons they miss out on their first targets quite often as well as a general reluctance to pay the asking price or release clause. They still have one of the biggest wage bills in Europe and a squad cost of about £750-800m so it doesn't in any way explain their current position, IMO. Quote

Granted he probably wouldn't get Spurs relegated or anywhere close, I can't see that ending well either, league has changed and not sure he could better even what he achieved at Spurs the first time round. Millwall don't usually sit in the playoff positions for this long in a season and from this point on I feel there are only two possibilities for the rest of the season. Either we go on a run and get promoted automatically or we go on a run and finish outside the playoffs. Losing to an injury ravaged rival would be prime Millwall. Quote

It made for a great atmosphere during the game, but when coaching staff are being attacked and you have a player being interviewed post-match with blood on his shirt (which wasn’t there when the penalty shootout wrapped up) it just hits home how stupid some supporters can be. At the end of the day, it’s just sport. Police, stewards, players and staff shouldn’t have to put up with such idiocy. Quote

I can see next seasons Old Firm and the remaining one this season being home fans only now. Fines and bans are deserved for any fans caught up in any violence. Quote
