That ball from Cunha was unbelievable. I always said Sesko was a good signing. No doubt about it. 🤥 One of the goals of the season, for me. Perfectly constructed from back to front. I love a good counter-attacking goal more than just about anything in football. Quote

I can't imagine any other human in the world, other than the one on VAR, watching that and finding a red card offence. It didn't go to VAR. Ref didn't see it, but his assistant said it was a straight red. So sent him off based on the assistants advice. Quote

RedTwoster Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Rangers vs Celtic. What a match, what a season! The exact score line I wanted, I couldn’t be happier and I’m actually starting to believe Hearts might do this. People have said it’s not quite a Leicester, but I disagree - if Hearts and particularly Motherwell win this season it’s just as miraculous. Leicester’s spending power was pretty significant, but the difference in spending power between Celtic, Rangers and the rest is significant- making it very difficult for the other clubs to recruit shrewdly, let alone keep the good players they find. Add to that the fact Hearts were nearly wiped out of existence just over a decade ago. if this happens, I’d say it’s equivalent to Leicester. Here’s hoping it’s the key to title challenges from other clubs, whatever the case. Quote
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted March 1 Paid Members Posted March 1 (edited) @RedTwoster by the end of that first 45 I'd invented new swear words to describe Liam Scales. The CPS needs to be investigating that lad for fraud for claiming to be a pro footballer. That second half, I'd have felt sick to not get a point and I feel dirty we got one (but my god how did it take 3 goes from Hatate). One of the Glasgow clubs is gonna nick it and its a travesty. But even the cynic in me wants Motherwell on our tails until the end and Hearts to sneak it. If only because I reckon we could win the Conference league 60 years after we won the European Cup. Edit: just looked at the venue and actually gutted they never picked Hampden Park for it after the SFA applied. We only ever win at home in Europe! Edited March 1 by I Bent My Wookie Quote

Honestly, I was on the edge of my seat, it was so fucking tense and I couldn’t believe it when he scored, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a ‘third time lucky’ like that before, or if I have, I don’t remember it. And Chermiti’s overhead kick - bloody hell, what an enigma of a player. If I was a Rangers fan, I think I’d absolutely love him, he’s like the most expensive Scottish football cult hero ever. I genuinely have no idea whether he’ll ever meet his full potential, but fair play to Kevin Thelwell on signing him, it’s clear what he saw in him now. I agree - I think one of the Glasgow clubs will nick the title, but I’m hoping to goodness I’m wrong. If Hearts or Motherwell win the title, it’ll be my favourite ever moment as a football fan. I’m absolutely loving this season. Quote
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted March 1 Paid Members Posted March 1 Well I can see nicking 3rd. If Rangers or Celtic act as they have against top 6 sides, once the split comes in they could drop quite a few points. Its Hearts to lose right now, they could even go the rest of the season without Shankland as the rest of the team are holding on. Quote

If they lose Braga, I’d be extremely concerned - I still feel like they’re one injury away from their title challenge crumbling, basically. So here’s hoping that doesn’t happen. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted March 1 Paid Members Posted March 1 Standard game for Chelsea there. Red card and no clean sheet. 9th different player this season to be sent off. It’s actually mad how badly disciplined they are. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 1 Paid Members Posted March 1 Why aren't more people (aside from, presumably, @Frankie Crisp) talking about the United penalty today? Red card, fair enough. But since when are we giving penalties for offences that start 5 yards outside the box and end with a player falling into it? On the same game, has anyone ever offered definitive proof that Diogo Dalot is an actual football player? Quote

Still think you'll be OK as West Ham or Forest won't be able to turn it around, but appreciate its sub optimal for your lot to be in this position at all. @SuperBacon any idea what the craic is with Kulusevski? He's been out best part of year now, is he still crocked or just our of favour? He seems like the sort of player who could really turn it around for you!!! Quote

I think the problems are much, much deeper than him coming back and turning it round (he was actually quite crap* before he got injured as well) and his injury is clearly worse than first expected, and he keeps getting pain and inflammation which they can't keep down. I don't see him playing this season (already ruled out of Swedens play off later in the month), or Maddison, and I've also seen some very concerning rumours that he might never play again, which given I'm one of the most depressing, pessimistic people ever, I'm inclined to believe. A shower of shit upon a shower of shit. *Just for the record, I rate him very, very highly. He's fantastic. Quote

Either way that would be awful, both very decent players who still have a lot to offer. Quote
