The Premier League's already jumped the shark as a trashy, morally dubious entertainment product. Engaging with it as such, finding a golden ticket to the bottle factory is the most hilarious outcome if my own team can't win it, especially given Arsenal's deeply craven style on both sides of the touchline. If anything I'd like to see them all get relegated about 8 divisions. Secondly, it's always funny when someone blows a big lead. Talked about this recently with some friends funnily enough. Arsenal have never had a following up here. I know a few fans of Arsenal and Spurs, mostly southerners who've relocated but they've always been absolutely dwarfed by Liverpool and United round here. Chelsea and Man City have a following with kids, I see plenty of their shirts amongst our junior players but again, very few adults who supported them. From my away trips, can honestly say Arsenal fans were great. Biggest wankers amongst PL teams were Everton, Man City and, heartbreaking but unsurprising, West Ham. No, that I agree with, and like I said I don't give a shit what they do really. They're not my team, I don't care. I know we all had a right laugh over THAT Spurs - Man City game, but at the end of the day I always want us to win. The fact we didn't obviously didn't bother me as much I suppose, but I didn't understand the mentality of wanting to lose that game, and to be honest I think most people were just having a laugh about it, and what a laugh it was! And I don't really hate anyone. For one, hate is such an ugly emotion and energy, and it doesn't make sense because like I've said before my eldest is an Arsenal fan (loosely), her Mum is too and half their family. So I can't hate them. But obviously I'll laugh at them. Quote

Helps when you follow a team that has given you plenty of joyous moments so spite isn’t the only thing you have though. Quote

I could honestly listen to him speak for hours. How he feels about football, and how it should be played, is EXACTLY how I feel. I'd like Forest to stay up for the fans' sake, but I'd find it very funny if Nuno kept West Ham up at Marinakis' expense. As regards the top, I can't parse it to myself, so I've given up. I don't want City or Liverpool winning any more for football reasons, but for political, real world reasons (and at the risk of drawing some eye rolls), I'm a big fan of Pep for his courage in sticking his head above the parapet regarding Palestine, and, as mentioned, Arsenal's behaviour regarding Partey has been just wrong. Ideally, Villa would go on a tear and Emery would get revenge on Arsenal, but that won't happen. Quote

They’ve been outperforming their stats and at this point they might have enough belief instilled to clinch top 4 but I don’t see them getting closer to the top than they are right now. Arsenal will likely win it comfortably, despite their best efforts not to. Nothing about this iteration of City makes me think they have one of those winning runs in them. Arsenal are exceptionally solid and have bought really well to play the type of football they play so even if it’s despite themselves I imagine there’s enough about them to grind it out. It’d be a great story though, to be the favourites in the end stages of the four competitions they’re in and to come away trophy-less. Quote

I do think Arsenal will win it quite easily, like you say, this isn't a great City team and I can't see them going on a 12 game winning run like they usually do. If you can't beat Spurs at Spurs after being 2 up at half time, you definitely don't deserve to win the league let's be honest.
