Vicario has never convinced me as being anything other than a good shot stopper. I'd be inclined to give Kinsky a go. Porro looks like he'd rather be anywhere else, same for Romero. Kulu is a cracking player and runs through walls for the team, but he's not on the pitch. Ben Davies is another. He's no star, but hes solid and does a job everytime he pulls his shirt on and the fans recognise that. The only high spots at the moment is Gray who seems to be the only one willing to kill himself for the cause. If I was the gaffer I'd have the players in tomorrow morning and make them read through social media or have some of the club legends come to training and explain what it means to the fans and the heartbeat of the club. Players come and go, but the staff and fans will always be there and we deserve more respect from the players who currently wear the shirt. Quote

lanky316 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Romero has always been one of those players who's on the edge. Fantastic defender on his day and actually picks out some fantastic passes that the people up top haven't been putting away. At the same time, he's always capable of making a rash mistimed challenge and getting into trouble. That's not new, he's always been like that. Obviously, things aren't going well at Spurs this season (understatement there) so it makes sense that someone on the edge doing all he can and trying to overcompensate for how bad things are is going to get caught out with more of those tough challenges and pick up cards. There are a lot of things wrong with Spurs, and obviously sending offs aren't going to help matters, but it seems clear to me he's at least working his arse off and giving it his all. Quote

The points deduction has obviously taken a hit, but there's a strong chance they can be back in League One next season. The squad is good enough for the Championship but they don't look like they are picking up many points. Still got quite a few games left against promotion challengers like Ipswich, Hull, Millwall, Bristol City, Watford too. And two big ones against Sheffield Wednesday & Blackburn at the bottom. Quote

But just in case. I can tell you that as someone who has been in the away end at Lincoln it's a great place to go. The Lincoln fans can get very quiet if you get on top of them. Mind you as a Millwall fan I can say that is often the case with opposition fans when we play them. Last time we played at Lincoln we actually lost 2-0 but still outsung them for most of the game. The two things I remember from the game were a challenge by the Lincoln right back that took out our winger and the linesman but wasn't given as a foul, and me getting the stadium announcer to announce congratulations to my mate Simon whose wife had given birth to twins 2 days before. Simon was at the game in the Lincoln end, but he was neither married nor a dad. Quote

One of the most intriguing aspects for me would be if a scenario presents itself where one of Celtic or Rangers are playing Hearts in the final game of the season and they can't win the league themselves but a Hearts win stops the other one from winning it. There are lot of owners propping up a lot of clubs in the Championship in the hope that the payday of promotion will come. I think the permitted loss is £15m for FFP so it shouldn't be as high as £26m but possibly will be once they've fiddled academy investment, etc that doesn't count as losses. The Championship does seem like a bit of an accident waiting to happen. It also seems undervalued from a TV revenue POV. I think Sky get an absolute steal. It's by far the most interesting league around, it has incredible clubs with great history and big well-attended stadiums. It should be doing much better on it's own merits, let alone with the money feeding down from the PL. Quote
