TAFKA Jonny Vegas Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I still cant get my head around Fernandez celebrating his "goal" like a madman. Fair enough with a possible offside or foul in the build up to a goal but when you've used a volleyball shot to put it into the net and you know VAR is a thing then what's the thought process? 😅 Two great semi's now. Celtic with a chance to avenge the League Cup defeat to St Mirren and then a derby between Dunfermline and Falkirk for the other. Next weekend feels like another huge one for Scottish football. Celtic at home to Motherwell is a massive test for both. Hearts in the late kick off on Saturday away to a Kilmarnock side in desperate need of points. Then on Sunday I doubt Rangers will be relishing an away day in Paisley off the back of 3 bad results for them in their last 3 games. Quote

You can't influence something that blatant when there's VAR though. If he headed it onto his hand and it went in or the call to be made was regarding when he headed it onto his arm/body and whether those were handballs then absolutely. Not even Hugh Dallas could have came out of retirement, watched big Fernandez slap it into the net with nothing but hand on the VAR screen and then given a goal. 😅 Quote

The opposition are always better than us, and your lads were on Saturday. We do defend pretty well though, and while we don't make many chances we do take the majority of the ones we make. St Mirren are very good at getting results against teams at the top of the table, and if they can absolutely get a result against Rangers. They’re better than their league position suggests. I’ve a feeling Celtic will win, but I’m hoping and praying Motherwell pull this one out of the bag. I think ‘Well are out of the title race now, but they can absolutely play a part in determining the champions. Hearts/Killie…I have a bad feeling about this one in spite of Kilmarnock’s hammering at the hands of Falkirk. But then, I have that feeling before every Hearts game right now and they keep getting results. I’m hoping it’ll be the same here, but yeah…bad feeling. Quote
TAFKA Jonny Vegas Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I think the big ask for Celtic/Rangers is to keep within 6 points of Hearts before it goes to the split. To be able to say that is in my opinion such a credit to the season that Hearts have had where the onus is on Celtic/Rangers to try and keep up with them. If Celtic/Rangers are within 6 points or less come the split then that's where I think Hearts could potentially finally stumble. Hibs, Celtic, Rangers, Motherwell and then likely a very good Falkirk side is an extremely tough run in. What a season so far. SPL is where the REAL football is. English football has became everything Roy Keane warned us about 20 odd years ago. Quote
