I don't even think there is a solution to any of this, however this did resonate and I don't think it can be rectified, but the club and him MUST address this in my opinion. He'll be asked about it, quite rightly, in every press conference as well. This is from the Proud Lilywhite group as well. Aside from that issue, what a fucking stupid footballing decision again. I was in the Spurs end for this game, and Klinsmann instantly became my hero for this era of Football! I was a Barnsley supporter, but always had a soft spot for Spurs from the Gazza days(I was obsessed with Gazza), and the lad who used to babysit for me years before was a huge Spurs supporter. He got tickets for Hillsborough and took me with him. Klinsmann's header was as good as I've ever seen. The leap, the body shape, the technique was all picture perfect! I went home and begged my mum for all 3 kits from that season with 18 Klinsmann on the back, and I think over the season I ended up with the bluey/purple away shirt(that was worn in that game), and the yellow 3rd kit with the grey pattern on the shoulder. I loved them(and I'm currently waiting for the home and away from that season arriving from DH Gate)! I was gutted when he left for Bayern the following season, but had the pleasure to see him play for Spurs again upon his return when they played Barnsley at Oakwell in the FA Cup. Unfortunatly he got knocked out and swallowed his tongue(he seemingly did this a lot from memory), and although the entire stadium stood to clap him off him(we appreciate a class player at Oakwell, no matter who he plays for), nobody clapped and cheered him more than me! I'd still say he's up there with the best No 9's Ive ever seen(after Michael Ricketts, of course)! Quote

I obviously loved Klinsmann as well and remember the day he signed (I've probably told this before like everything else I tell on her) I'd got punched in the face off a kid on the estate and had a massive shiner. I'd just got over the shiner after being in for a week, so took my bike off to Redlees Park (one for @TheBurningRed) and immediately came off it and scraped my whole face. So off home I went crying, refusing to open the door to anyone until my mate Steven came banging on the door and screaming "YOU'VE SIGNED KLINSMANN" over and over and obviously that made me open the door. I remember almost crying as teletext confirmed it. One of my heroes coming to Spurs. As anyone our age, I rinsed the Italy 1990 videos I had and Klinsmann, especially against Holland, was one of the highlights. I loved him. With no England in the World Cup that summer, I'd followed Germany (with the best shirt of all time) and was devastated when Bulgaria heroically knocked them out. Klinsmann signing was massive. I was telling my youngest recently and couldn't quite articulate just how huge. Anyway, was lucky enough to see him loads that season and away as well, which was a rarity for 10yo me. I was FUMING at the Forest fans when I went away as they were singing the Dambusters song and doing aeroplane gestures towards him. MY Jurgen! MY German! How dare they! He was the bollocks and then came back 3 years later to save us from relegation. Maybe he should pop back for the last 7 games this year. He'd still outscore our current strikers. It came out a few years ago that apparently the original plan for Ardiles was to sign Maradona (I well up just thinking about it) but obviously the shits at FIFA ballsed that up. OK, Diegos drug use that summer might have contributed... Quote

I had both those Germany shirts from '94 too. Classics! I remember just seeing the big Spurs signings that summer and was amazed. Klinsmann, Dumitrescu, Popescu. It's amazing to think that foreign signings were a novelty with how ubiquitous they are now. But how they never won anything with the "Famous Five", is mind boggling. I know they had the crap with the points deduction at the start of the season complicating things, but even still a cup win was more than doable(after they were reinstated in the FA Cup, of course).
