The atmosphere at both cup games last season and in ‘22 was top, and you don’t get that with anyone other than your lot and Charlton. Ipswich having two games in hand is a concern. Whatever happens though, it's been a great season overall and Alex Neil is doing a fantastic job. A lot more consistent since he took over. Quote

Absolutely no let up from their ruthless march to the League 1 championship. 12 points up on Cardiff with 5 games left, but Cardiff have a game in hand, but they are in a bang average vein of form. I was lucky enough to be at the Southampton game Saturday, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. Saints fans are a fairly insipid bunch most of the time (Pompey is a much better atmosphere from this neutrals perspective) but everyone was up for it from the first minute and it was brilliant to see. And they thoroughly deserved the win after a fantastic performance. Just as City did in the Cup final, they didn't press, allowed the Arsenal defenders (who can't pass) to dither and panic as their channels into the middle were blocked off. They had nothing to be honest. Dowman was busy, but Manning figured him out very quickly. He was better when he came inside, but Arsenal were so predictable, and it was a pretty poor performance. As my ex said to me, must've been nice for me to see a win for once. WAHEEEEEEEEY. Highlight was probably seeing that angry bald twat from Arsenal Fan TV being mercilessly ripped by both Southampton AND Arsenal fans and interrupting their interviews over and over. They had to run to a different part of the stadium to film, the divs. Also now everyone knows about Leo Scienza. For me the best player in the Championship this year, and if Saints don't go up, they'll definitely have to sell him I'm afraid. He should've scored, but he was superb. Also slight aside, if any one does visit Southampton for a game, feel free to DM me beforehand. Don't worry you don't have to meet me, but (clang) I might be able to sort you something in the stadium itself (clang clang a lang a lang a lang) Quote

This European run has been completely shit until tonight, as the whole thing had been marred by the board/managerial stuff. It’s why we’ve gone backwards in the league and we know we’re about to lose the league’s best midfielder, but tonight felt like last season. There is now a real chance that I’ll have to fly from my Irish Stag Do to the final in Germany so could one of you please tell the missus? Thanks. Quote

Donetsk probably the hardest game but I'm putting that down to it being a "tricky away day" which it probably isn't. Two trophies in two years would be superb work. (i obviously hope so) Not a Millwall fan but it's the opposite I think having lost there last 2 home games they are in much better form away from home where they've won 5 of the last 6 and the one game they drew was at Ipswich so a credible point. (i obviously hope so) Millwall have beaten Middlesborough, Wrexham, and Hull in there last 6 away games and they are in the top 7 as well as a couple of others further down the table, and as MVP says they got a draw at Ipswich as well and they are 2nd. I mention the positions of the teams because I know it would be a chore for you to read absolutely anything. Millwall play better away because they don't care about possession. Defend as well as possible and steal goals on the break or at set pieces. Quote
