They’ve timed their run of form perfectly and Ipswich can’t put a run together. I’d take Millwall coming up though because it’s someone new. Anyway, to the days real big game. Probably my favourite derby win since Kuyt scored the two penalties and the perma tanned prick Clattenburg denied Everton the same courtesy after Carragher judo slammed Lescott in the dying seconds. Have had a number of interactions with fucking horrible Millwall fans over the years. Off to Leicester tomorrow night. We beat Leicester on the opening day in 2016 when they were defending PL champions. Mad to think we could relegate them to League One a decade on, and five years after they won the FA Cup. I've been convinced Spurs would survive all along. Squad is too ridiculous to go down. Saturday changed that. If you can't get over the line in that game, you're fucked. I think they'll beat Wolves but I think it might be too late now. Quote

I can actually see Southampton getting automatic promotion as they've looked pretty good recently. Ipswich do have that game in hand though it's against Southampton. On a personal note I really hope Ipswich don't get promoted as I live in Ipswich and the gloating would be unbearable. I get enough stick for being a Millwall fan as it is. Obviously, I'm hoping Millwall can grab that second place finish. On paper, Stoke, Leicester and Oxford sounds doable so fingers crossed. Whatever the outcome it's been a great season for our little club from South London. Quote

I did my masters degree at De Montfort and lived a five minute walk from the King Power for a year. It's a great city and they seemed like great fans. I got to go to a few games (for free as the uni gave some tickets away) that season, which is when they won the Championship, and always had a decent time. It's almost unbelievable to think they're in League One a decade after the Premier League miracle season and just five years after winning the FA Cup. The club has clearly been horribly mismanaged for a few years now and you worry what could happen if they don't come straight back up. Have to think they'll need to shift their big earners on and invest in youth if they're going to have a chance. Quote

It's very similar to Spurs in that you look down from 1 to 11 and it's a top 6 side all day. The place is toxic though. Some subs warmed up and they were booing the shit out of them and chanting "wanker, wanker". I was trying to get my head around why our little Belgian kid from Monaco upset Leicester so much and realised they were targetting Harry Winks. How on earth he came on in the second half and played his game with his own fans booing his touches, I don't know. A shame because it's an incredible club. The pain is going to continue given the amount it costs them just to run and pay for their £100m training ground, let alone Premier League level wages and everything else. Not sure who is going to take it on, if King Power do sell up, with those costs in League One. In the pub beforehand, there were flyers everywhere for a 10 year reunion with 4 members of the PL winning squad. Can't get a greater contrast than that. Quote

From a few Leicester fans I know back home their feeling is that he's not bothering his arse and is part of that being a wider culture of the bigger earners at the club. Not his fault that he's signed such a lucrative yet financially irresponsible deal as that's just horrendous mis management by the money men but fans are entitled to their opinion on the matter.
