The funny thing about the Rochdale fans invading the pitch was that it gave York City a few minutes to regroup themselves. I honestly think if the game wasn't stopped Rochdale would have held on for the win.

Really good win for us today. A lot of the talk has been about having to win and winning by lots of goals. We are nowhere near good enough to go into games, to win a game and by three-four goals, we just need to win for now and will see about goal difference, come say  last couple of games at end of the season and take it from there.

This Newcastle side were on a 5 game losing streak coming in, there should be no question about us going for it against the team in 14th place and on such a run, especially after getting the early goal. Why we just sat there for the next 80 minutes and did fuck all is beyond me. I just don't see us trying to game-manage our way to the title being a recipe for success, because we've been doing it for months and it's cost us.

Hereford survived just.

That feeling going down may have stabilised the club and enacted change completely thrown by the jubilation a hundred miles away plus at full time.

Yes, they were and we came into the game losing back to back league games. Did or do you expect us to go for it? The nerves, pressure and tension throughout the stands, bench and players on the pitch is there for all to see. If we are to win it, walking over the line doesn't even seem like a thing, it be more crawling over it and if that is what it takes, I'm all for it so long as it's enough and hopefully it will be. Preferably will attack and score more goals, but unless teams go gung-ho against us, I don't see it happening. Our attacking players in Madueke, Martinelli and Trossard have been nowhere near the level needed this year, at least we have Eze and Saka back now.

I’ve always loved Motherwell. Credit to Hibs too for self-destructing and having two players sent off. I still don’t think Hearts will win the title, but this was a good first step. Hearts-Rangers next week is going to be a blockbuster match. I want to watch it, but I’m not sure I can cope with the stress of it all, I might just have to sit this one out.

What a brilliant end to the season, I hope to goodness Hearts pull this one off. I suspect they’ll end up regretting the points they dropped to sides like Livingston, but we’ll see. ‘Mon the Jambos!

Really feel like the game next week will create the most boring scenario from such a fantastic season. A dreadful Celtic side win the title again.

That’s my fear. Having said that, I think that Celtic will drop points. What that means for the title race remains to be seen, but I don’t think they’ll win all of their games.

Real Zaragoza’s goalie reacts very calmly to his red card.

He’s definitely got a holiday booked and wanted an early finish to his season.

You don't need two guesses to know what nationality he is :) LARIATOOOOOOO

It's a fairly stupid red and understandable but I love that his immediate reaction to the red was "oh well, not like it can get much worse now is it?" and hit a fantastic lariat that Stan Hansen would have been proud of.

If you’d told me 12 months ago I’d be sat in a boozer in Krakow, having watched us get this close to a European final, I’d have thought you lived on a ward.

This football club has taken me to the depths of despair and back for 40 years but - bloody hell - this is why we do it, isn’t it?

Football. Nothing like it.

Very happy for you Frankie, and I need to add on the Europa side, stopping the Champions League dropouts has really saved the competition. Any of the four possible finals will be far more refreshing than those shit Chelsea ones were.

QPR were already on holiday today against Ipswich so Millwall had no chance to go up automatically despite winning. We have a woeful Championship playoff record. We've been in 4 times and never got to the final, so we'll done Hull I hope you go up.
