Couldn't watch the Scotland game through genuine fear but my barman at my live music venue legging it to me when Tierney scored had me in near tears. 

Watching football growing up was always with my Scottish grandad and Irish gran, so Scotland reaching their first world cup since I was 5 just took me back to my childhood. 

Its gonna be a rough costing month the group stages being the same time as Download but I really think I'll take a national express up to Glasgow and get in one of the fan zones for a game. 

Beautiful what national football can do when its not always straight forward.

Ireland face Czechia in the semi.

I think all 3 of those teams are beatable so fingers crossed. 

Wales face Bosnia and then a potential game with Italy. Bit trickier but you never know.

But they won’t fancy a trip to Cardiff if it comes to that (and that’s not because of Walkabout).

I wouldn’t rule out N Ire doing something in Italy though. They can be very stubborn to break down and if the Italian fans get on the team’s back you never know.

They'd moan a bit about how they deserved automatic World Cup qualifying for 2022 after winning the Euros and how they deserve it now due to having won 4 world cups. I don't think they qualify, while they won all their games not against Norway I don't think they were very good teams and Norway absolute scudded them both times. I think Wales outperformed them in the qualifying (despite less points).

Just stick all the nations into 4 pots and pick them out. If you must have particular groups then say

Pot 1 seeded teams

Pot 2 European teams

Pot 3 Africa and Middle East

Pot 4 Rest of the World/Everyone else

 

Its getting so contrived now its like FIFA might as well pick their 8 quarter finalists and do away with the rest of the tournament
