25/26 Football thread DEAD, USE A NEW ONE

Made up for Parrott who always seemed like a nice, hardworking lad who never moaned when he didn't get a chance at Spurs. Just knuckled down and got on with it, and now look. Probably had the best international break ever.

Not arsed about international football that much from a personal perspective, but would love to see Wales and Ireland make the World Cup.

  We haven't qualified for a World Cup since 1998. I was 7 years old. Words can't describe the euphoria I'm feeling now. How the fuck am I going to make my lessons tomorrow? M'ON THE FUCKING SCOTLAND!!!!!!!

We barely scraped past Belarus, but a win is all that matters. 

I was 13 last time Scotland qualified for a World Cup (men's) and it just feels weird.

Curacao the smallest team by population to ever reach a World Cup.

Wonderful to see Haiti there as well, a country that goes through a lot. Hopefully this brings joy to the people.

We can moan all we want about the expansion (and its absolutely valid) but its fantastic for these smaller nations to make a World Cup.

Drew with Steve McLaren’s Jamaica to do it too and he resigned right after. I’ll always have a soft spot for McLaren as he was our manager during arguably the best time in our history and during my childhood, but he isn’t half a bit shite.

I get that England qualifiers are boring as they always get piss easy groups and walk it.

But generally, international football is the best and purest form of the game we still have.

Brilliant trips away following your country, can’t be beaten.

Have no truck whatsoever with those folks that are gagging to scrap qualifiers because they can’t cope with missing Nottingham Forest v Burnley on TV on three weekends of the year.

Considering international football as the purest form of Football whilst it’s governed by one of the most corrupt organisations in the world and probably having a good argument to do so speaks more to how fucked the game is. 
 

My little lads U9’s is the purest form though.  A group of sweet innocent boys who turn in to an army of Roy Keanes who swear like sailors when they get tired and cranky towards the end of a game. It’s beautiful.

Took my 9 year old to his sec9nd England game vs Serbia after that disaster that was his first being the Greece game last year 😳 

Absolutely fantastic experience, him high fiving the chap in front of us when Eze scored the second is a memory that will live with me forever. The absolute joy in his face. The fact that it was £80 for the both of us to go shows what great value England home games are.

He's desperate to go to a game during the Euro's in 2028, you can guarantee that UEFA will have their ends away with the pricing.
