Gooner Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 The two shows seem to be heading towards Punk winning tonight but if he is to win to face Rhodes at Mania, I'm not sure eqht they will do with Reigns if The Rock definitely isn't appearing at that show, so I'm sticking with my first prediction that Cena wins the mens Rumble and Charlotte Flair or Becky Lynch(if she ends up being in it) winning the women's Rumble match. I'm looking forward to staying up for this show tonight and the ladder match between Rhodes/Owen should be really good. Is there any live chat for this show on this site anywhere tonight? Quote

He does a typical Kofi spot and somehow lands on one foot, but even the referees can’t stand these twats for what they did to Big E, so the refs themselves just push him over. Get fucked, you tit-less prick! I’m probably in the minority, but I can’t stand the rule where your feet have to hit the floor to be eliminated. If you’re thrown over the top rope and you hit the floor, that’s it, you’re done. HBK skinning the cat? Eliminated. Kofi doing a handstand? Eliminated? Kacy Catanzaro climbing up the ring post, impressive though it was? Eliminated. John Morrison is fine, he only touched the guardrail. I will die on this hill. With my feet firmly on the ground. Quote

Fucking this!!! Wasn’t there one a few years ago where someone landed flat on their back but kept their feet in the air and somehow got back in? Get fucked all the way, that’s an elimination all day long! Quote

That was indeed…sorry Dev…Kacy/Katana. One of my favourites was Mandy Rose landing on Otis. The way it was filmed was great as we didn’t even see her land on him. Then the camera cut to her lying on top of him, just wonderful. Quote
Cannibal Man Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 Kofi should calmly walk over the top rope and head toward the back telling people to fuck off the whole time Quote

I want it to be the laziest most contrived bullshit ever. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted February 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 2, 2025 Genuinely surprised with the men’s winner. Didn’t expect that at all. The silence when Mia Yim came out. Yikes. Candice LeRae had it bad, but Yim’s was worse. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted February 2, 2025 Members Posted February 2, 2025 Well that was all fantastic wasn't it? Shocked at that mens Rumble winner, but that section with Reigns/Rollins/Punk/Paul was brilliant. I absolutely love that Reigns achilles is STILL Seth, and excited to see where it all goes. Owens/Rhodes was the absolute bollocks and I don't even like ladder matches! Brutal fun. Got emotional at Cena and now want to marry Giulia. Standard evening for me. Quote
Jacko Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 One thing I’ve noticed is how many stars they now have and the plethora of dream matches they have, everyone fatu and breaker stared down give me it all. not one clue what the plans for mania are which is brilliant Quote
MVP RULZ Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 (edited) That last 45 mins or so was tremendous fun So much star power in the ring and stories all connecting together Great surprise winner and makes sense to really strap the rocket to Jey as can't deny he is the most over on the roster. So many ways it can all play out not just over the next few months but even beyond Mania season. Women's Rumble had the predictable winner but had some nice surprises along the way as well. Ladder match was brutal but in a fun way and even the Tag Title match didn't over stay it's welcome and was a breezy 15 mins which for a 2 out of 3 falls involving Gargano and Ciampa is maybe more shocking than Jey winning the actual Rumble Edited February 2, 2025 by MVP RULZ Spelling Quote
FUM Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 I have absolutely no idea what direction they’re going in but that is the absolute best thing to keep me interested. Did Logan Paul spike some poor kids phone on the way to the ring? Quote

Dr. Alan Grant Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 I thought the women’s Rumble was awful. Relied too heavily on the old “come out, hit some spots and then hide in the corner for the rest of the match” trope. Iyo and Liv were pretty much anonymous for the bulk of the match. Far too many no-hopers in there, like B-Fab and a completely aura-less Shayna Baszler. The only ones I was impressed by were Lash Legend in her brief moment and Chelsea Green, who is absolutely hilarious. The permanent stats board at the bottom will hopefully never return. “NATALYA HAS BEEN ELIMINATED”. We know. We just saw it. We don’t need a huge graphic to tell us. I was hoping for Becky or Jade at 30, so to have it be Nikki Bella irked me. Boring, fake Charlotte was probably my least wanted outcome. Justice for Chelsea. KO’s final ladder bump was brutal. The men’s Rumble was far better. It was a great choice for Rey and Penta to start off, even if Penta fucked it by landing one foot on the floor, thereby eliminating himself according to my set in stone rules. Absolute crickets for Santos Escobar. Shame. Michael Cole pointing out that Andrade came back at last year’s Rumble made me realise that I couldn’t tell you a single thing he’s done in that year. Send him back to AEW where he can do sod all there again. I loathe streamers so I was happy to see iShowSpeed getting mangled by Bron and Otis. Lots of interesting face offs and possibilities (Bron/Roman at some point please) coming out of that. Genuinely shocked at the winner, which can only be a good thing. YeetleMania I guess. A decent enough show, mainly due to the last match. The ramp was far too long, and I’m pretty sure Charlotte and Roman are still making their entrances. 75% of the theme songs are unrecognisable dirge. Chelsea Green to host Mania and main event both nights please and thank you. Quote
