Wideload90 Posted February 28, 2025 Posted February 28, 2025 Trump is a fucking cunt, and the heart attack brought on by a poor diet cannot come soon enough. Fuck any American who voted for him. Threatening WW3? Fucking outrageous. Quote

I don't think we will need to wait that long. It is what will happen after the midterms in 2026. If Trump even allows them to happen or just ignores the results it will be a total mess. Quote
Paid Members DCW Posted March 1, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 1, 2025 If the US makes it to another election cycle, it will be like the 'elections' in Russia or Belarus. The country is done as anything resembling a democracy. Even if/when Trump kicks the bucket, you have those two cunts Musk and Vance to step in and continue on the destruction, backed by the evil tech lads like Thiel, Bezos and Zuckerberg. I have never had less hope for the world, the early days of the pandemic were way less scary than this. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted March 1, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 1, 2025 If I saw JD Vance in person I think I would instinctually attack him on sight. He looks like the most punchable person on Earth. Just an absolutely snivelling cunt of the worst order. Quote
Just Some Guy Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 For what it's worth I've started a petition to get Trump's state visit cancelled. If anyone fancies signing it the link is https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/719998/sponsors/new?token=42v6UP7z1qW6N4F8ptwc Quote

Have to say, he came across much more of a wanker than Trump(thats saying something)...which is worrying for the future Quote
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted March 1, 2025 Moderators Posted March 1, 2025 He comes across as a pretty standard odious shitbag republican. Mike Pence was a lot weirder. Quote
Merzbow Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 I've said it before but Vance is most dangerous as he's simply a proxy for Peter Thiel and NRx, but then you've also got Elon doubling the technofascism. Quote

But in this day and age, I am doubtful they'll be subject to the law of another country while enjoying Trump's patronage. Everything that was taken as a given before now has an element of doubt to it because of the behaviour of the Trump Right. In the hours since you posted this I've come to doubt it too. What a world. CavemanLynn Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 How can the world deal with Trump? It seems mad to me that the leader of a nation resorts to the lowest of the low, childish playground tactics of being offensive and condescending to another world leader, then beg off when they return that aggression. How do you rise above that, avoiding the relentless baiting while trying to negotiate. Vance as the toady, rearing up behind Trump as soon as Zelenskyy bit. Pack of vultures. Sad thing is, this'll play well with a nation who, even in times of peace, constantly bombarded its people with messages that military might goes hand in hand with freedom. Can the world just cut the US off? Trump's big push was America First; what would it take to prove that America can't survive on its own? That it isn't the heroic world police it claims to be? Quote

He’s what happens when the angry incel-style troll gets into a position of authority. I’m not entirely certain he even has any beliefs or values given that he once claimed to be ‘never-Trump’, outside of ‘whatever it takes to advance his career’. 4 hours ago, Chest Rockwell said: He comes across as a pretty standard odious shitbag republican. Mike Pence was a lot weirder. At least Pence had principles, even if they were batshit. He refused to go along with Trump on January 6th; although, if he did, steps might have been taken to prevent Trump from ever running for office again. There’s no chance Pence would have sat in at meetings with Starmer and Zelensky, making comments purposely designed to get a rise out of them; never mind make the kind of speech Vance did to European leaders. Someone with a bit more knowledge & nuance may be able to expand on this, but IIRC for most of the USA's existence it has pursued a policy of isolationism. Didn't want to enter WWI, Didn't want to get involved in WWII. It's not a natural World police force. Quote

A massive recession over there plus gas prices going into orbit would make even MAGA fuckwits notice that this presidency isn't going well. With Trump I think the best bet short term is unfortunately what Starmer did. Appeal to his vanity with state visits and whatnot whilst Europe long terms starts to plan to not be as reliant on the US military for support. They are a basket case of a country now and could be for a very long time. That's if they can recover. Quote
