Ah ok, wasn't aware it was based off info from a credible source. I'm just always wary of speculation when things are still unfolding, and I'm probably overly cautious about possible legal issues and how easy it is for all of to take for granted that this is a very publicly accessible space (unlikely as it may be).

To be honest even those two sources at times today have been making different information about the arrest and then not really clearing it up.

I think its just a statement of how many "insiders" are giving out information to news sources that doesn't correlate. By the sounds of one BBC piece earlier today its a complete media circus outside the house then the Mirror was earlier claiming it was just Police and quiet in the area. 

Its one of the more damaging things about the media, this will turn into who can get information out the quickest so their site gets more traffic.

Texas music legend Joe Ely at 78. Not unexpected, as he had been suffering from Lewy Body dementia and Parkinson's and his health had deteriorated sharply, but very sad nonetheless. 

Though he was a contemporary of the likes of seventies and eighties country artists Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett et al., Ely also belonged to the rock and roll and punk worlds, singing with Springsteen and The Clash (he performed backing vocals on Should I Stay or Should I Go?). He was also a member of The Flatlanders group, alongside Jimmy Dale Gilmore and Butch Hancock. Those three made some beautiful music together.

Basically, he was diverse and very fucking cool. Everyone wanted to play with Joe Ely, who was a gifted songwriter and also a deft interpreter of other people's work. I'd encourage anyone to check out his stuff if you haven't already. He was one of the good ones.

I used to love watching Buck Rogers with my Gran when I was younger.

Loved Buck Rogers but will never understand the change of set up between seasons 1 & 2. And that droid can get in the bin.

I mostly remember it for my Mum & Dad saying how old Wilfred Hyde-White looked in the credits every single week and the nice cameo they gave to Classic Buck Rogers actor Buster Crabbe in one episode. And that bloke with the feathers on his head.

I don't think I'm dreaming it but I have a memory of local radio playing a version of the theme that Gil Gerrard sang over. Can't find it via 2 minute search on Youtube though.

My Buck Rogers Starfighter was so well played with that I don't think that there was a fleck of paint left on it.  Almost lethal if you threw it at, for example, a younger sibling as it was fairly solid metal and whistled through the air.

The man behind Main Street in Disneyland Paris (amongst many other things), Eddie Sotto, died.  Walking down Main St while "Married Life" plays is an all-time memory so cheers to you, Eddie.
