Paid Members Scratch Posted July 7 Paid Members Posted July 7 I live in Farage’s constituency and the love for him here is genuinely off the charts. All of the accounts of “he’s never here” are from the fringes, the majority don’t care about that or see it as a problem. And he is seen, I’ve seen him several times. I would argue he’s in his constituency as much as any front-line politician is in theirs. He thinks this is a clever move because his main support base will back him no matter what, and even though this is all over a huge sum of money unimaginable to 99% of the people that live here, all they see is their guy getting unfairly challenged. It’s basically a religion by this point, where reason and logic have no place. Even with competition, he’ll win by a larger margin than last time - especially given the recent council elections. But, as was said, he wasn’t smart enough to consider a situation where nobody stands against him and he genuinely looks like a fool wasting everyone’s time. Touché Mr Farage, touché. Quote

If he's won and the only people he's been against are Binface, that one dressed as a fox and the Monster Raving Looney Party he looks like a prize idiot and the investigation continues regardless. But they aren't allowed to pay for it, so it's a stunt that people will fall for but they know that they don't have to follow through. The unity candidate is Binface at this point anyway.
